I recently figured out that I used to work with one of the school board members for BHISD. His son graduated just a few years ago. During his high school years his hair covered his ears. Last week, you could still see pictures of his son during his high school years on FB....now you can't see them anymore. Interesting....Also, you can absolutely properly wear a grad cap with dreads. So that's ******** if the school or school board is saying anything about that.

I feel bad for the BH Ag guys too. The mullet is back, but against school rules.

I have friends who have dreads and they are not "nasty". 🙄 I'm sure there are some folks who don't take care of theirs but that's like saying some people don't wash their hair so all hair is nasty.

@MrsT : @MrsT : In case you didn't know, dreads won't twist up if you wash your hair. So no, they don't wash it, there's ways to clean it though. I'm so happy to hear Alicia Keyes and Ellen have his back. I will pray he goes on to keep doing great things and graduates from a great school.

Most school districts have the same rules.

@ladybeachbum : You'd think. I would have just home schooled him the last few months. I wonder if he had plans to go to a good College. This is not going to help that.

@chasinghosts : I would think he could do work at home situation like if the child is sick but who knows? If he had them for most of his years and no one said anything, they screwed up and should not put this crap.

If you have very dry hair that's prone to breakage, talk to your locktician about how often you should be washing your hair according to your hair type.
