The deer are requesting their picture be removed, especially before hunting season.

Probably a fate kinder than being crowded out of what little habitat they have and hit by a car or starving.

Probably, hit by a car is bad. Deer are resilient and in many places they have overpopulated and do starve, that's how nature works.

Picture attached taken last night with 7 of the deer coming in for most likely their last meals as they have started bulldozing behind the water control dike established when these homes were built. Yes they are beautiful and what a waste to the community of this foliage and wildlife we have living here among us. Yes it is in Kingwood as shown in the picture. An encroachment by Kingwood after the bridge was built purchasing the land across the bridge into the Atascocita side. Put the theater on the other side of the bridge if it is so needed to please the people living there. With so many empty places around the communities, I do not understand building more complexes and leaving the old ones vacant!

More than a slight difference between overpopulation due to ecological imbalance and "overpopulation" due to habitat loss/fragmentation. One can happen; the other shouldn't.

Already dragged a hit yearling hit by a car on a Saturday morning while taking a walk in front of the fitness center. The car never stopped! To keep from having other cars continue to run over the poor yearling, I ran out to pull the deer into the woods. Almost hit by 2 cars traveling at higher than needed speeds through this area, only to honk at me and give gestures for being in the street. Too many people in too big of hurry! Posting of the pictures bring reality to what is living among us that should be part of our lives and our children's lives. As for hunting season, I have been feeding these deer for several years and have never lost one to hunters as most hunters respect hunting areas outside of city and I patrol the back pretty close. Shooting a riffle towards the houses will constitute the protection of our life and property which will constitute the return of fire! Not a hunter my self, I just shoot pictures of the wildlife. As for ecological imbalance and "overpopulation" due to habitat loss/fragmentation it is being man made and for what reason when there are alternatives within the communities. My statement stands that Kingwood is no longer "The Living Forest" it is the "Destruction of The Living Forest"!

Yes, directly behind by house. Over the past 28 years, I have slowly cleared out the under brush planting grass and taking care of the woods. Deer started traveling through the area so I started putting out corn. Over the years, we have seen the babies born and grow up increasing the size of the heard. It is fun to watch and this construction is going to end all this. See todays post of the picture I took last night. I said 7 deer but there are actually 8 in that picture.

No but will scare the heck out of them! Haha. But if a round hits in my yard or house, it would be within consideration to take action! Those are not true hunters but foolish people with a gun!

I hunt the old fashioned way. I stealthily find and follow my prey, select my target, control my breathing and give a steady pull of the trigger. Then I reach into the cooler and remove the selected meat. It's a lot less work and safer as hopefully no idiots are running around the supermarket with guns.

I would love it if we would get a Trader Joe's out here or a Sprouts Market. Theater not so much as we can now days watch movies at home so comfortably, but I would not be opposed to it it would be kind of cool to walk over be able to watch a movie. I know there are coyotes in that area that would run them out of our area maybe a little bit more.

I don't have time to look for statistics but I believe any time a movie theater arrives they bring crime with them. We are so lucky to have a low crime rate. The shame of it was all the people along this site and further spent big money for the fact it was a golf course lots and would be forever no houses behind them.

Anybody can tell you anything . All it took was everyone producing their contract showing the facts that your homes will always back up to a golf course . Why didn't people prove it if it was a fact ?
