If you want to get something done then you must learn to lead or be persuasive. You won't be able to sway all the people all the time. But arguing and being ugly with one another certainly will not get to a solution. I don't see why most on this board have these expectations of congress and the president when they can't even run their own damn HOA without screaming insults at each other. It's honestly pretty damn funny if you think about it.

@Cabin_Mama He is NOT in my HOA but he wants our HOA to share in the cost of more officers . There are other solutions instead of paying officers yr after yr after yr . He needs to go do as he wishes in his subdivision & get his nose out of ours . People over here are loaded for bear & anyone enter a home while a homeowner is in it will be shot dead ! The officers have never PREVENTED a break in so why do we need more officers for an increase in crime ???? All those robberies in Walden & else where have NOT been prevented & adding more officers will not stop this .

It would be nice to see them ride the streets of our neighborhood. Just being seen might discourage a would-be robber. I NEVER see the constables unless there has been some mischieve on my street. Don't we pay them to be present?

@AMCLady Come to the HOA meeting each month their time is wasted to come & give a report & they stay the entire meeting . Keep in mind that 1 of our Board members is ALWAYS placed over security & security is talking to / reporting to that person . So ( why would that person make security come to the meetings ) & take away from the little bit of time that they are here on our streets ? Please remember we split these officers with WALDEN . $69,000 per officer divided by 2 = $34,000 then an 8 hr shift we have them 4 hrs then 1 hr to go eat we have them 3 hrs then ( they have to write their reports ) ???? How long does that take ???? Does their time on the clock start when they leave their home or the police station ???? My guess would be that it does . How much time per 8 hrs are we really getting ???? It easy to figure out 3 hrs now how long do the reports take ? And when does their time on the clock start ? How much time does ACIA really get for the money we put out ??? Do we get 2 hrs for every 8 hr shift ?? So this is the reason I don't like sharing officers And I don't like that my tax dollars go to the sheriffs also yet when I phoned them I was told NO YOU HAVE A PRIVATE CONTRACT you have to call Pct 4 ! Give me my money back & then I'm ok with calling Pct 4 . I like both group of officers I just don't like if I am forced to put tax dollars towards sheriffs I get a big fat ( O ) for those dollars spent . I'm all for doing what Kings River did & that is to have our own officers & not split the cost . Even if we end up spending more I'm ok with that .
