@tb505 @Tuckersmom Yes... be careful... that is the mantra... but you want the cake and eat it too... First, I never said "don't let your kids play outside"... but
@Tuckersmom has overreacted to almost everything on this forum and that is to be expected. I do find it interesting that when people comment on a post you clearly want to draw attention to, you fly off into a paragraph or two of incorrect assumptions and rage.
Bottom line is this... if someone doing the speed limit down the street hit your kid who was playing in the street, you would call the cops and file a complaint or press charges or do whatever you could to get some form of restitution for all the pain and suffering... and you would be right to do so. However, if someone were to flip it on you and file charges for knowingly allowing your child to play in a trafficked street and thus become a hazard to the DRIVER, how would you react? You cannot have it both ways and shun any accountability.
Did you ever think that is what the neighborhood is trying to do??? Manage accountability for everyone's best interest? Lastly, just as food for thought... pedestrians do not always have the right of way.
Look... getting upset over an issue is one thing, but failing to see that you too have accountability is blindness. And when one points that out, don't get offended.
