It is against some law....that being said it is on county property and their responsibility and liability. Don't put it on your property or all the kids will be on your property and you are libel if one gets hurt..call HOA but obviously some one has called and complained (a neighbor or a walker or UPS that doesn't like it) leave it and it will be removed by the county after so many complaints.

I'm a little foggy on how the HOA is in charge of the street. You can park a motorhome or trailer on the street and the HOA can't do a thing so why does this not apply to the bb goal? Let's give the kids nothing to do so they can go do some mischief or break in a home for fun. There are sometimes rules that need to be broken .

@carol888 One would think that's how it works.. But if they had an issue and they WERE going to do that themselves... Why not contact me again stating they will remove it unless I move ( which again it's not mine so sure take it) but instead they send the cops to take care of it like they were supposed to scare me into claiming it?! Just disagree- if they want the dang thing gone come and Freaking take it!!!

As of right now the thing is sitting on the side of my house ( which is an actual eyesore to me) and I'm sure I'll get a letter saying it can't be there either... But at that point it looks like it is mine and they won! After talking w the husb he said we should put it back and let them just take it ( and I would agree but don't want to irritate the officers if they are sent back out) I plan on contacting whomever is in charge but that has always gotten so far w issues around here!!

Sorry, the constables have to do it as a courtesy, before they come take it away....
Oh by the way this happened to me years ago that's why I know quote their protocol. A few neighbors didn't like my boys and their friends playing basketball. Haters!!!!!!

Well as for Community area Management today I'm supposed to put it back up. They tried saying its new - which all my neighbors will agree it's been there at least 4-5 yrs. saying there's no way it's that old cause a law suit would have been filed etc. if there that long. So I'm supposed to put it back so they I guess can harass my neighbors like this and still if no one claims it they county will come take it! Great.. Since I spoke to my neighbors last eve now they will think I just passed the buck!! Ugh...

HOA rules everything in A W apparently. We have lived in Woods for 14 yrs. We have also kept our trash cans on the side of house. Dh had to built a camo lean to so the letters would stop. Ridiculous

I've owned a home in AW since 2007, but do not reside at the property myself. That community's main issue is CAM, who is an absolute joke. It would be nice if the HOA took the management business elsewhere. I am sure that in itself would resolve a lot of issues immediately.

Why do that? I mean, wouldn't you rather your kids play healthy game of BB then to be getting in trouble? I just don't understand, I guess I do bc of the whole UPS truck but then again um it's not like it's knee high you see it.

The complaint was only from whomever drives around looking for "infractions" and sending letters out. The cops and CAM confirmed that. CAM even wanted to argue that it was recently put there- it's been there at least 4 yrs. the lady tried to say there's no way it's not new cause they would have already sued me over it! I had to laugh at her. Either way they now say put it back up... And have noted my # and I shouldn't have anymore issues. They will have the county pick it up eventually. I feel now maybe I should harass them w letters saying there's an eyesore that someone just out there and it need to be moved and see how long it takes for them to pick it up! My guess is from past experience is never!

Funny how CAM goes after you about a basketball goal, but allows my neighbor to put in a lighted basketball court in his back yard.

Does your neighbor live in Atasca Woods? Cause if so maybe you can get them to send the constables to his house after spending a small fortune on something that sticks over his fence by a few inches?! Idk it's all crazy!! Whomever the little Biddies are that drive around in the white little car gawking at every stupid thing prob with binoculars in this area need to be dethroned imo. I understand doing your job but don't pick and choose who can get away w stuff but pick on others for bs!
