That is also my link, the SSC. They are the ones who endorsed the golf course, and all the candidates that are on the board except Jimmy and Laura. So why would that not be the "connect the dots"?
. Why are they pushing for two more individuals that they think will do something for "the whole community". They were all about the golf course. They were formed because of the golf course issue. Read the first parg of the email put out by SSC Now is the time to divest ourselves of the last remnants of the intractable , negative , unresponsive ACIA board that divided our community & helped drag down our property values the same Acia board that condoned the inspection of the inside of our homes . Now when the vote was taken on the assessment to be able to purchase the golf course WHO WAS PUSHING & PUSHING FOR US TO PURCHASE THIS golf course .PB, MM ,PR, DG, KA all of them lived on the golf course EXCEPT( PB ). No the board that DIVIDED OUR COMMUNITY WAS THIS BOARD THE ONE THAT TRIED TO SHOVE IT DOWN OUR THROATS . This board was asked over & over &over to PLEASE SEND A LETTER TO ALL HOMEOWNERS BECAUSE THEY KNEW NOTHING . When after giving them many months to do so a group got together & put info in the newspaper & walked & put out flyers to make people aware of what was going on .

It may be interesting to see what happens if the SSC grabs total control. Two things we must remember - 1. they cannot assess for more than $500/annually without coming to the members for authority to increase. 2.- 51% of the members can recall the board. If there is a hidden agenda and the members of the ACIA are so dumb and sheepish to let it happen, then they deserve what they get.

@tflea: Is it within the power of ACIA board to transfer garbage collection costs back to individual homeowners? Can they shut down the pools and tennis courts. Anything else they can do to increase available funds w/o homeowner approval?

These new By Laws will be very specific. They can include things like I don't know, say if the board does not produce Monthly Spending With Account Detail the HOA dues are reduced by 25% the following year.

By law for the minutes to be accurate and posted within 32 days so the members may know what is going on.- We don't have this by law.And oh oh oh minutes and details for things the ACIA board may do out side of meetings. Also produced within 32 days.- Or this by law.We would then know if they filed ACC documents with the court and various other things they hide.

Minutes that put the homeowners questions & short answers to the questions into the minutes . When homeowners ask questions & have signed up to talk they are then recognized by the president & they are a part of that meeting & what is said should be included .

I am not sure because our documents talk about their duties & about taking care of all this stuff . I have always been told the most pure documents & if you are in doubt about something you read & study Declaration of Covenants & Restrictions Atascocita Shores Sect 1 & 2 .
