So JW and LL are voting the same as everyone else and yet the SSC wants them gone?

Does anyone know what homeowners association management company employed Ms Speers?

Yes, why does the sensible solutions committee keep bringing it up. Just how do they intend to increase home values?

GOOD OLD DJ AT CAM is where she works unless she has changed jobs please notice she kept it quite what company she works for . This campaign email says the 2 of them are active in our community REALLY ??? Go through all the minutes & look at the sign in sheets & try finding their names to support how many HOA meetings they have gone to . Edwin had his name on the ACC Committee for HOW LONG ????? WAS IT ( MAYBE ) 2 mos & then taken off that committee ????? Yet this flyer still shows he is on the committee .

Ed Miller and the Sensible Solution Committee are all about Transparency....right? So why don't they have their two candidates running on a forum that they will make a by-law saying all spending will be shown on our web site with detailed accountability. I would like to know How much the check was made out for, who it was made out to and and what did they EXACTLY do to get paid that money. Every dollar this board spends should be accounted for.

Now if two people would run for the board that would just do that one simple thing it might be worth taking the time to vote. However, if we members got to see that much detail of where our money goes, our monthly meetings might be standing room only.

Lammers told everyone at a monthly meeting that plants and mulch were stolen from the entrance of the Golf Villas. She said they did not take bags of mulch, no, no, they took the mulch that had already been spread around the plants that were taken. So, you are telling me someone shoveled up mulch and stole it? That is what she said. So that was enough to go take a look. You could see that the plants had never been planted, you could see there were not as many as she claimed, and you could see that there was not one speck of mulch that was left behind. How is that possible? Not one speck of mulch left anywhere. Did they use a vacuum? But she got the board to vote to give approx. $500 to replace the supposedly stolen plants and mulch. Oh, and one more thing. That entrance was so overridden with weeds. Had not been taken care of for sometime. So she would have us believe that plants and mulch was put in and nothing was weeded before doing so? But then she also told us that security cameras were necessary at Shores Park because bar-b-que grills had been stolen sometime earlier in the year from that park. Show me the police report please! Then she said the ornamental trees at the entrance of Atascocita Point had been trimmed at a good little chunk of change. When a member went to look they informed Lammers that the ornamental trees had not been trimmed and the response to that (with a roll of the eyes) was that it was the oaks that had been trimmed. Nope, got pictures of those trees also. Nothing has been trimmed at that entrance. No crepe myrtles or big oaks. I imagine if she were questioned again she would say it must have been another entrance.

This is just small stuff that goes on. The board, and not just Jimmy and Laura, but all the board condone doing a big majority of our association business during executive session. They claim it's all that secret stuff that we can't know because of Texas law. Guess what? they could apply a number to each "secret" thing and stay in the room and say something like...."we are going to have to go forward with a lawsuit because of unpaid fees for homeowner ABC123" Do I hear a second?" This taking an hour in executive session is ludicrous. If they have to go into executive session, they are suppose to come back out and then tell the members what they discussed and decided just keeping any personal information to themselves.

Why not post the monthly check register in the newsletter or on the website? This would tell who was paid and amount. state laws deny telling the detail on payments to lawyers as to member detail. This needs to be changed also, but that is in the future.

To the person who started this thread (i can't remember who it is), why is the golf course still an issue?

@FinkleEinhorn:

That is the question of the day now isn't it? Why is the golf course still an issue? The SSC has put everyone on the board they want and yet still need two more. Why is that? Thought the golf course is doing just fine. Thought it had been purchased. Thought all is good. Thought home values had gone through the roof. Yet some still hold a grudge? Some still place blame? If all is so great why would anyone do that? Three out vote two, correct? So just what is the angle of Gregg Mielke, Michael Raney, Ed Miller, Bob Garlington and Susan English. Jimmy and Laura voted to put Mieke and Garlington and D'Artois on committees. So why all the hatred from this group. Is this "sensible" as their name suggest? How does the community come together with a group putting out something like this. This just makes for more mistrust of something underhanded going on. Seems these individuals want to run the board and all the committees in our association. Why? We understand that everyone on the board wants to have a golf course here in our community. The question is will they, like a past board, try to force our association to maintain this golf course assuring that is succeeds?

WHO DIVIDED THE COMMUNITY ?

Hmmm Who wanted everyone to pay for the golf course?

When did the board all decide to vote the same?

Who gutted the ACC?

Whose finger prints are all over the new ACC and secret commitees?

Why do I call it the SECRET SOLUTION COMMITEE?

OMG the bigger the lie the better I guess.

Please leave out the committee and VOTE BY LAWS THE SENSIBLE SOLUTION.

BY LAWS ARE A FRIEND TO ALL.

@Posterguy:

We have by laws now & words on a piece of paper are only good if the people serving you are honest & transparent . When a board advertises a meeting & DOES NOT SAY this is a private meeting & the homeowners can not come, & you show up wanting to go to the meeting & the police are called to force you out ,is that OK ????? Do you know of any other HOA doing this ???? You think a piece of paper means anything to any of the 5 people on this Board ????? We have ALL KINDS OF PIECES OF PAPER maybe we should take them outside & just BURN ALL OF THEM . As we can see with our own 2 eyes deed restrictions are broken all over the place out here & all 5 people have chosen to NOT REMOVE ALL THE SIGNS PUT UP ON PINEHURSE TRAILS EVEN THOUGH IT IS A PRIVATE BUSINESS & has nothing to do with us .WE HAVE NON STOP ADVERTISEMENTS ON OUR HOA WEBSITE FOR THE OVERLOOK . We have all sorts of other small business at the front of Pinehurst Trails hey no one gives a crap about them . But I know of NO OTHER website for an HOA that has 1 thing on their website about a private business except us even though we have requested they be removed .

The Sensible Solution Committee appears to hold some sort of grudge. From history, whatever their agenda, I doubt if their agenda is truly for the best interest of the community. IMO, many thought they deserved for everybody to pay for their golf course views.

Okay, I'm thoroughly confused. I asked why or how the golf course is an issue because of the opening sentence on this thread.

I am confused as well. I cannot for the life of me sort out why the SSC, as a committee, is endorsing candidates for the ACIA board. I thought their interest lay only with the revitalization of the golf course. What am I missing?

Are you asking ME or just asking in general? My question was because @Justsayin's first sentence asked "Soooo, the golf course isn't an issue anymore?" Which led to my question "How or why is the golf course still an issue?" It sounded like they were saying it is, in fact, still an issue. I just can't find anything that points to that other than that furst sentence.
