YOU call it this way. THEY don't. So many of us are extremely tired of you and your group ALWAYS causing problems, telling "untruths" and stirring the pot of crap. Yes, I am speaking on behalf of more than just myself. Like Moomaw said, YOU ARE BEATING A DEAD HORSE".

What about their word about being transparent?

What about all the off the books meetings called "workshops"- Do you believe those are proper and transparent?

What about no 2012 and 2013 financial audits- Not very transparent.

Did you miss my post about a Bylaw for posting monthly spending with account?

>> So then someone (probably a neighbor) should sue.

At this point, the HOA isn't going to go back on their bad decision, and the homeowner obviously thinks the fence is great. So the message board complaining won't solve anything.

What gets me is the number of people who think the rules should not be enforced and anyone complaining about it is needs to stop. We have rules for a reason. I don't like them all, but I have enough respect for my neighbors not to break them. This basically comes down to respect.

@BusyMommy:

You are absolutely right. I displayed a lack of respect in my last comment and I apologize to everyone. It has just gotten very old.

@FinkleEinhorn:

My comment wasn't directed at you Emoticon

@BusyMommy:

Thank you. I knew that, but felt like the disrespect I showed was not in character for me, and you deserve better than that from me.

So all of this is untrue?

Or do you just not want any one to know- Can you say secret solution committee?

Does the ACIA board conduct workshops?

I think you are a major complainer and have been untruthful in a lot of your statements. I'm not going to argue with you, nor am I going to beat this dead horse anymore. I'm simply going to put my faith and trust in the candidates recommended by the Sensible Solution Committee: Edwin D'Artois and Patti Speer

Why? Because that committee has proven to me that they ARE truthful and have our neighborhood's best interest at heart.

Oh Ok finkle, you have no facts and you claim my posts are untruthful.

Look at our recently remodeled ACIA pool house bathrooms are they ADA compliant.- No

Are the bathrooms lying?

Or was the board told by an employee of the management company that if they remodeled the bathrooms they would need to be brought into compliance with the ADA act?

The board was in fact told this, a professional would know about the law and not need to be told.

The ACIA board remodeled the bathrooms and failed to bring them into compliance- Bathrooms don't lie.

>> Here is the story on this one. A resident built an improvement and part of it extended beyond the 25 ft. building line setback. The resident claimed, and others supported, that he was given permission to build this. So, was this in the minutes of the association? Not that I know of, but these minutes are not always accurate.

So Anthony and other SSC people are on the board when the resident is having his case heard before a judge. I saw the resident come to the meetings and I believe he asked to have them let this go as he had permission to build this.

No dice, the attorney must have been ordered to proceed because the case was heard by a judge and the resident was ordered to remove any portion of the improvement that was beyond the 25 ft. building line setback.

So what does this mean, well it means the judge looked at our governing documents - which for the resident said the lot had a 25 ft. building setback from the rear property line - and ruled that these setbacks are legal and enforceable. These setbacks are common throughout the whole of this country, HOA or non-HOA. The resident removed the portion of the improvement that was over the building line. The court also required the resident to pay the association's legal fees; it is my understanding that the association would have had to ask for reimbursement of legal fees.

Now you would think this board would not approve any improvements beyond the 25 ft building line. The judge's ruling told them this was illegal, but this board does not work that way.

@Posterguy:

Oh this is awful !!! So they cost 1 homeowner a whole bunch of money & let others have exactly what they want , .Well someone needs to fill this homeowner in that is so not ok .

From one fence man to another, well done. Thank you for not cutting corners like others complaining on here have done, Three rails for support and a rot board doesn't get much better than that.

The Sensible Solution Committee is endorsing candidates who they feel will help round out our BOT. From what I've seen, you (and a few others) are trying to get people to believe this has something to do with the golf course. You are wrong. If you are not a part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

Let's do our part to help get this neighborhood going in the right direction. So far, the Sensible Solution Committee has a proven track record.

We need to unite and work together and we can have a successful BOT who works FOR the people. No more bickering or arguing, because that accomplishes nothing.

Let's move forward in a positive direction.

The Secret solution committee works for secret solution members ,that is what causes all the " bickering and complaining".

fink tell us all about the meetings you have attended, I know who attends and have been going faithfully, that is how I have all the knowledge and facts that I have.

WORKSHOPS (off the books meetings) excepted because the members are not allowed to attend- Sorry for the compliant.

@FinkleEinhorn:
Explain to me their proven track record .They were all wraped up in that law suit AND THEY LOST . The majority people on the board has been golf course people& that is who has complete control right now this entire yr 2014 . But in 2013 they also all voted alike . Sorry it is a fact & you can not make these folks
look like the good guys because they are not ,Any one of them could have made a motion & passed it that Jimmy Or Laura Or the management co was not going to talk to homeowners with no respect or refuse to answer questions & throw us out of the room . THEY DID NOTHING !!!!! SO HOW ARE THEY BETTER ????? Only thing the golf course people have proven to me is a lack of morals .

Lack of morals is that fair?

Well the bathroom remodel was renamed -" bathroom repair" to get around the moral and legal dilemma of not complying with the ADA act. Morally, I would have said that people with disabilities who need those accommodations in our restrooms should have them.- Basic human dignity.

They have however proposed an "ADA compliant walk" to make up for this- Shameful

My take on this topic is this - I think this thread has covered just about all we can cover based on not only facts but also opinions. Maybe it's time to lock this thread down and just let the remaining people take it to private messages.
