@Sammee: Yes how would you like to walk out your front door look to your left & see this fence instead of the neighbors front yard & the street on that side . Just wait till it is old & falling down !!!!!!

This still makes me so bad. The ACIA can bite me when I want to paint my house the same color. I will NOT ask for approval. If they approve that sh(^ I don't have to ask to paint my house.

I agree BusyMommy & one of my friends said exactly that & she didn't get permission . Far as I am concerned these folks have destroyed our property values with all the crap they have given permission to do out here . There is a garage that can hold a bunch of cars I am told, I forgot how many sq ft but a bunch . Anything I want to do I will drive around & if I see one I will take a picture & then go home & do it .If that person can have it then I also can have it .There is an apartment on my street & I asked the guy if they had to get approval for it & he said oh yes you have to get approval from the HOA . So I asked if he had a problem getting them to agree & he said no not at all !!!! Now( that apartment) was done before this Board .Look at the WHITE VINYL FENCES ON THE GOLF COURSE & go read what your deed restrictions say .Signs for Overlook which of course the people on this Board think that is perfectly ok go read your restrictions . In the canal off Sunny Shores drive, their is a deck type thing built so high in the air when I was up stairs at a friends house I was eye level with it . Only one out here I have seen like it & THIS BOARD APPROVED IT .Last Board approved the sports court to be built. Go read your restrictions . A bathroom is built I think I was told too close to the easement or maybe on it . There are other fences in violation also & just all kinds of stuff storage of cars campers on & on . Storage buildings .......

Not to mention the covered car parked on the front lawn, down the street from me. And, the pile of cinder blocks in another neighbors driveway with a big blue tarp over it that has sat there for a couple of months. Then there is another neighbor who has a big pile of dirt in the front yard that has been there for YEARS. I guess they decided not to landscape after all. Since you mentioned people being turned down for painting their house the same color, I wonder if anyone would even notice it was painted. And that leads me to my next door neighbor. Their door used to be a pretty red color, but now it is a burnt orange - very ugly door now. I bet they did not even get permission to paint the door.

Next Board Meeting is on October 27. Any of you who have posted to this blog please help those of us who are residents of Hurst Wood Dr. and Pine Cup by showing up at the meeting to show your displeasure of the Board approval of this fence.
For those of us who live on this street, we must look at this fence everyday. This is a safety issue as well and the Board has turned it backs on the safety of our children.

I cannot attend the meeting but would be happy to sign any petition you create.P.S. Can you please include the fence on the corner of Pine Green and Sweetgum Forest? That is another tacky eyesore and the board needs to step it up and get rid of it.

This is not the first time they have done this. Go on HCAD and get the plot. It will not show the house. Request the board to bring the submission with the owners name and address redacted( of course if you live by it you know the address, no secret there it is in your face). Request the board place the issue on the agenda- Good luck with that . This board seems to feel they have absolutely no accountability to the members the laws and the gov. docs.Ask them why the old ACC denied this submission- That should be interesting.Also print and bring the docs from your section.

Don't forget to tell JW this fence is not a "RUMOR" made up by unhappy homeowners.

There are lots of cedar fences facing the street in our neighborhood.This particular house has much more street facing fence then most.

It is like a huge big ugly thumb that has just taken over the street . They refused to listen & try to understand what was told to them . They should have it torn down & pay the owner all his money back . I understand they would be using our HOA money but mistakes happen & in my opinion their are other homes out here with the same situation on their lots . It is possible for us to end up with several fences like this . I think there is another house after you drive past his it is around the next curve on the right side . I believe the front door opens into the side yard ???

@Hurt Wood: Please get some people to help you & write up some info & go hang it off people's doors with date & time of meeting & ask them to help you by going to the meeting . Better yet hang it on the outside of their mail box .

This is my fence. Yes I am the infamous owner of the "horrible, ugly, dangerous" fence. We have no back yard, what do you people want!!??The HOA approved it fair and square!!So kiss my a** you buncha grippers!P..S. Just wait till Christmas. Ima deck that mother out with so many lights even the satellites will be able see it!! Ha!!!
