Well, it is always good to acknowledge the positive.... even if it is only the fact that the dead pine needles are gone and the grass growing over the curb was finally trimmed.
I don't follow too many of the other issues, but I bet the parade had more costs than just the hot dogs. There were 4 police officers escorting the parade and I assume they were paid. The parade was nice and my kids enjoyed being a part of it. I am thankful our community has this.
Did someone email a board member to ask about the pools? This could be a management issue for the company that does the staffing for the pools. Maybe too many people called in sick because they didn't want to work? This may not be the fault of the board members, but they should give you an answer if you ask.
I get irritated by a lot of things about the HOA, but I really worry when things seem so aggressive on the part of some community members and some board members. Please don't let your anger over some issues make you unable to see the positive things about our community. I hope you are not as sarcastic in real life as you where in your response to a stranger on a community message board.

It is my opinion KK saw to it that the Pinehurst Trails medians looked good BECAUSE HIS DEED RESTRICTION BREAKING SIGNS ARE ON THE MEDIAN & HE IS HAVING A FUNCTION AT ( HIS ) PLACE OF BUSINESS .And if not him this Board saw to it BECAUSE OF HIS FUNCTION & our parade, makes these medians more visible . HOW LONG have homeowners complained & now it ( JUST ) got done & looking good for his event & our parade .
There were 3 police cars that started the parade & 2 that ended the parade . Now our subdivision NEVER has more than 2 officers at a time . We have a total of 5 officers that we split the cost of with Walden but we do not have more than 2 at a time . Unless it is meeting night & JW & the rest of the Board want to THREATEN the home owners . I would need to ask a couple people but I think we had 3 maybe 4 at the last meeting . Of course JW's words TO ME WERE WE ARE NOT PAYING FOR THEM THEY ARE ( FREE )!!!!! This was said to me in the lobby of the O L that night because I complained about it . I mean these are officers that are suppose to be out riding around & being visible in an effort to deter crime . And where are they ??? Protecting our Board from answering questions !!!! If you ask a question many times you are told, I WILL NOT ANSWER THAT QUESTION, OR JW looks at someone else & says next question . If you ask it again & say please answer this question, you are warned , one more time & you will be taken out of here .If you ask again YOU ARE REMOVED !!! This Board does not feel it has to be responsible for( anything ) they do . They voted on stuff with a room full of homeowners that had no idea what they were voting on . Sent LL over to Water Board 132 to go get some more money for them to spend on our parks . In the mean time we had no idea this stuff was even in the works & they had already approved it to be done & I can only GUESS THEY RAN OUT OF MONEY THAT THEY FELT THEY COULD SPEND so LL went to go get some more money !!! So glad I'm not in WATER BOARD 132 . The only way we found out I just happened to look at the agenda on 132's website & saw LL did a presentation on the ACIA comprehensive plan in Feb of 2014 . A friend called I think 2 water board members who seemed surprised we did not know about this & both said it had been in the planning stage for a while . I spoke to one board member at a meeting & I believe 132 thought all of us were aware of all these plans . I don't think water Board 132 had any idea the ACIA Board had not told us all about this .Why would ACIA Board hide this ??? If they think this is all a good idea to spend this money why not stand up & be proud of all these good things you are doing ??? They must have thought this was all a good idea right ?
Please google & read Homeowners Prevails in Legal Action Against Board Of Directors for Breach Of Stautory Duties . in this it also describes ( FIDUCIARY DUTIES OF DIRECTORS ) . This is just 1 example of many that can be found of HOA boards that end up in court over the words FIDUCIARY DUTIES of Directors . So I think there are a bunch of HOA's out there with unhappy homeowners even though some try to make it look like just a few of us are unhappy campers & think we should move out of the neighborhood as one person has said . Spend some time on line & you will see we are not the only people with complaints .

Are we asking to much of them when we ask them to answer a question ??? We have asked & asked & asked for our 2012 audit, it is July & we were told in our Jan 27,2014 minutes they just received & the Board will approve it at the Feb meeting . So 7 mos these folks have had this audit report in their hands . What is going on ??? Does anyone think this is just a little strange ? We are 5 mos away from 2015 & don't have 2012 or 2013 audit reports .
Oh, but yes many I'm certain will tell you how wonderful & what a good job this Board is doing . Although I would have no idea how they would determine that, unless they were party to all the emails & business conducted behind closed doors , & none of it discussed in front of us just $ amt & RATIFY RATIFY RATIFY & oh the COMMITTEE ( OR ) THE BOARD will decide on the price of the lots . What committee ???? To this day we have not been told about this committee & when you voted your trustees in to their position did you EVER FOR 1 MINUTE THINK THEY WOULD TURN OVER ( THEIR ) DUTIES TO SOME COMMITTEE !!!!
And people who don't go to meetings & don't know what is going on WANTS US TO BE POSITIVE now what a joke I find that to be .
Oh that Real Estate Listing Agreement in my opinion shows just how quite these folks were being about all this & I quote Broker will not file this listing agreement with a MULTIPLE LISTING SERVICE ( MLS ) OR ANY OTHER LISTING SERVICE . Then under 11 Brokers Authority says Seller DOES NOT WANT THIS LISTING TO BE DISPLAYED ON THE INTERNET !!!! So how many of you phoned a realtor to come & list your home & then told them now I do not want you to put this on the MLS or display it on the internet !!!
I wonder if anyone wonders if just maybe something is going on ???? Do you maybe wonder WHY CALL A REALTOR TO LIST & THEN NOT LET THEM ADVERTISE ???? Almost sounds like they already had an inside buyer & had no need to make this property available to all ??? Could that be ???? Are maybe they didn't want the people in Section 8 that back up to this property to know it was for sale ???? Oh can't be that, why of course they would want their own homeowners to have 1st option on this land right ???? Oh, that's right I forgot , these people had no idea this was for sale . So maybe someone can explain what part of all the above do YOU THINK IS POSITIVE ?????
