Guess the Atascocita Community Improvement Association Board of trustees was too busy working on the overlook event to take care of the ACIA residents.

July 4th long weekend and no pools.

Take your kids out of school, move them away from their friends, sell your house and buy a new house; that's your answer?
What about this the, ACIA board does what the other well run HOA's boards do and then we we could be doing cannon balls in our pools-
Boom ! Any questions?
No we get how great a time it was at the overlook when our pools are down and we get 200 hotdogs for $2500.

Based on your posts and the assumption that your kids probably listen to you constantly griping about their neighborhood, what they deserve but don't get, how awful it is living in their community, etc., YES! That's my answer! MOVE!

What do you do to help resolve the problems other than complain?

Jeesh.

Why does it bother you one way are the other ? Seems like every time anyone brings up ACIA we have a few that want to shut it down . Why is that ? I don't think any of us that talk about ACIA tell any of you what subjects you can't talk about . I'm not trying to be ugly but you don't have to read it please just skip it .

Because most of you find it necessary to post the garbage on positive community threads like this one just to ruin the message. It's unnecessary.

"Move"- That's the garbage.
Sorry if a board member comes on here and tells us how great it was at the overlook and we have no working pools, our landscaping looks like crap , they abuse residents on and on and on.
How presumptuous of you to tell me what I discuss in front of my children or what I may post, if you don't like it don't read it.

I started this thread to say what a great time my family had at THE OVERLOOK fireworks and some people just take it south.

THANK YOU KEVIN AND SANDY KILGORE FOR THE GREAT EVENING. ARE YOU GUYS AVAILABLE TO SERVE ON THE ACIA? EVIDENTLY THEY NEED SOME GUIDANCE AND LEADERSHIP!

If you have something positive to post, then please do. Otherwise, start your own thread or get your miserable selves a therapist and leave the rest of us out of it!!!!!!

Thank you...and I apologize sincerely for getting involved in its demise. Just so maddening sometimes!Emoticon

Kudos to The Overlook and the community in organizing this event! No more tainting those efforts here on this thread! Start another and those who aren't part of it likely won't respond. Emoticon

I don't think you have the authority to police what people say ,& please remember we have had threads that start off with ACIA then whatever & a bunch of you got on that thread &( attacked it .)I have seen others thrown off for much less than what I have seen a bunch of you do .Oh I'm certain I've seen a lot of things I did not find to be positive .What I see is this website is for less then 10 people & the rest of us should drop off of here or drop dead . To have a different opinion is ok, & I welcome that but to try & control who says what, on any thread is not right & not ok .

"Go spew your hatred somewhere else. Not welcome here! "
Pools don't work, landscaping looks like crap- while the ACIA board is working on the overlook event, those are facts and not hatred.
If the board members want to work for the overlook they should step down and do so,until then they should be making sure our community looks good and our pools are working.

Thank you ACIA board of trustees for making sure the overlook event was such a success, now if you could only make the Atascocita Community Improvement Association have decent landscaping, pools that work and be responsible with the budget that would be good (We are still waitng for the 2012 audit, but sorry I forgot you were all busy with the overlook.),

I took this off of the ACIA Website:
Start off your July 4th festivities by joining the ACIA community’s 4th of July Parade. Whether you are a participant or spectator it will be a good time for all! If you would like to participate (children and adults alike) signup begins at 8:30 am at the Atascocita Library parking lot and the parade is scheduled to start at 9:00am. The Parade will end at The Overlook (former Country Club) where Refreshments will be available and prizes will be awarded for decorated bikes, wagons, golf carts and pets. We will shut down for a short time to ready for the evening events which are brought to you by Mr. Kilgore and The Overlook.

Nowhere does it say brought to you by the ACIA. It gives Mr. Kilgore and The Overlook all the credit (for the evening events).

It also says this:
Volunteers are the life's blood that keeps our community a great place to live and enjoy. Volunteers are needed for positions on the Architectural Control Committee (ACC), Safety Committee, Nominating Committee, Social Committee (egg hunt, July 4th parade, National Night Out), and Recreation Committee (pool/parks/marina). Just a few hours of your time can make a difference in the quality of our neighborhood. Please contact any Board member (email address located on the website) or call Sterling Association Services at 832-678-4500 for more information or to volunteer.

Have any of you (that have issues with the ACIA) volunteered? Get involved and make a difference. Bust up out of those recliners and take the bull by the horns! YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Just a sidenote: I have lived in Atascocita since 1979 and my family has received several trophies at the 4th of July parade. WE PARTICIPATE! And we loved it each and every year.
