I used to work a lot in central America and was always surprised at the size of families. Over the years I asked several people why they had such large families. I was always surprised at the answer.

It was not we don't believe in birth control or because of our religion but if I have lots of children my chance of having a successful one is increased.

Their belief is that if one succeeded the whole family would succeeded because that successful one would look after everyone else.

What we are seeing in this immigration problem is just what their family plan was and that is the successful one is bringing everyone else to life in this country. Until these countries take responsibility for their population issues these problems of immigration will continue to reoccur.

@timbom:

So what would be the cost of educating one in each family. I'm not buying this - major religion is catholic and the ignorant follow the avoidance of birth control.

Talk about being shortsighted!

The U.S. life raft is only so big

If we keep adding people - it will eventually sink.

What are the long-term results of these illegal immigrants coming across our border?
What are the long-term ramifications of this?
for -our- future generations?
for -our- country?

Illegal immigration is hurting our economy
Illegal immigration is hurting our country
Illegal immigration is degrading our society
Illegal immigration is degrading our way of life

@iamfaithfulbeliever:
What if all that have entered are made legal & all fixing to come are made legal ? Would you are could you say, they are still hurting or degrading our way of life ??? My family came here from England on a ship & I have no idea if they were educated or not . I know all my great grandparents were but have no idea about their parents .

I think the parents are cowards! No way, no HOW would I send my kids forward to make things easier for me to get into a country. TOTAL BS!

These people are USING their kids to get what they want, to work the system better to their advantage.

Secure our borders.

Let's deal with ALL the illegals already here and start enforcing the laws we have.

No place in this world can you just go enter another country illegally and have them cater to your every need, make special provisions for you and let you stay around for as long as you want illegally.

@lana7018:
I have to ponder the idea if I were a 13 or 14 yr old parent with no education what would I do or even 18yrs old . I believe here you can go to the health unit & get free birth control, can you in those countries ? And most of the people in Mexico & further south don't believe in birth control because they are catholic .

>> So then think about it...why would these parents do so? You really think alllll these parents don't give a crap about their kids? Only American parents care about their kids?

@HumbleGirl:

HG,

I don't believe ur statement to be true. I find it to be extreme.

Praise God I don't face these trials but I do stand firm on my belief.

My children would not go ahead of me I would be the one to pave the way. I would take that path first!

I don't believe it's a matter of who loves who more I believe it's a matter of choice in how things are done.

@lynnsgirl:
To me the real problem is you have dirt poor parents aged from 13 or older & uneducated with NO HOPE of a better life making decisions .

The politicians are basically uneffected by this horrific immigration problem. They live in gated communities and their kids go to private schools, they can afford medical care, etc. I have the greatest idea ever. I believe the White House sits on about 18 acres of land. Let's ship some of these uneducated, diseased and in some cases parentless ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS to the the lawn of the White House and see how long Mighty Michelle will tolerate it. Do you think for one minute she wants them in her neighborhood and playing with her children. Hell No! Maybe it has to be in his and her face for them to see it is a problem.

@Humbletexan1:

And how about all the Presidents & First ladies before him or did these illegal immigrants not come before this President ??? Looks to me like none of those Republican Presidents gave a crap about stopping all the illegals either.
