@bbk I think as a whole we have to fight the crime all over. Everyone talks about Humble and it is so close we should be concerned there because when they get tired of doing their deeds there they can just run on down our way.
I do think being neighborly and everyone watching after each other helps more than anything. My dh has an eye for anything out of the ordinary in our area, me....I just watch for the boogy man. I'm a little nervous about coming in later at night but there really isn't a logical reason I am.

I see them on Aerobic usually daily around the time AHS lets out thru elem dismissal and usually see one driving thru the south on my way to pick up for AMS

There is one right behind me now..and has his lights on. Who said the police aren't friendly? He wants to say hello I guess.

I see them once a month! It is at the monthly ACIA Board Meeting!
Not just one officer but TWO! They stay the whole meeting too. This last meeting one had to leave to take a call but the other stayed the whole meeting. Usually they both stay the whole meeting.What a wonderful use of two officers time.You want to see the constables, come to an ACIA meeting and you will get to see them also.

Ladyb, no they don't have to give a specific amount of speeding tickets. They would not even be out here if not for us hiring them to do our contract. The contract is a 70/30 which means they are "suppose" to be in our contract area 70% of the time. They are only "suppose" to leave to go take a call in an area that does not have a contract. They do not leave to go write tickets in that 30% time but to take calls in non-contract areas (such as A. North).

@JustSayn Maybe they catch them speeding while in the neighborhood and then lights on the bridge! I'd just as soon not see them up close and personal! Been there, paid my fine, went to bad girls school, don't want to do it again.

Must be a lot of crime taking place at those ACIA meetings.

@FNULNU1954 It is not just you. I am retired and in my home or out in the yard most days. The only time I see a constable is when something bad has happened to one of my neighbors. It doesn't happen often, but bad things do happen occasionally. It would be nice if they rode by every day, just to make a presence.

@FNULNU1954 I actually saw them the last two days, driving through Pinehurst. That's more than I usually see them them. At least as far as "days in a row". But yeah, I see them frequently.

@Catmae I guarantee if I speed through the neighborhood like some do on my street, one of them would be behind me.

Can you speed around LB so that they will follow you and catch other speeders?

BTW, just to be clear....I don't speed in the neighborhood, in fact, I don't even drive the legal 30 mph. That came with age and having a child and dogs though.
