This is also why they probably came back the next night to only find me, which I assume spoiled their plans of finishing the job.

@Johnc874 :
What did you do when they came back?
Did you see them? Just curious

This was posted yesterday on Nextdoor Neighbors/Atascocita Shores.
My neighbors house was burglarized on Tuesday, August 25th. They took small items. They returned last night around 12:00. I'm sure to get the big items. All they could make out with lights shining in their face was the truck. It's a white Dodge single cab SLT 1500. Please keep your eyes open for this vehicle may be driving around. If you have cameras please see if you have seen a vehicle matching this description driving around in the Shores/Atascocita Point and please let me know. Thank you.
Ok, we are also looking for a 2 door older model Pontiac Grand Prix the driver was a black male with braids beaded near the ears. @inkpad321 I was outside laying down on an outdoor couch. I literally watched them pull up into the front of the driveway in the truck and wait, with their cab light on and the head lights shining towards my back gate (where they had entered from the day before). I slowly got up and walked over to the gate and they made eye contact with me and sped off. I hopped in my truck and tried to cut them off around the corner but they got too much of a lead and I wasn't able to get a license plate.

@judybug that is my next door neighbor looking for leads like me obviously from a different web forum. We are just looking for anyone who might have information. This is happening too much in the neighborhood and it has us all on edge. Its not a fun feeling walking into your house and seeing every drawer and closet open with all of its contents thrown to the ground.

@Johnc874 I sure hope these people are caught. I don't live far from you and I can only imagine how horrible this is for you. This is scary for all of us in the neighborhood. I bet they will be back to rob someone else's house. I will be looking for these characters.

I am sorry this is happening around here. I do not live in your neighborhood, but this is scary for the area.

Just from reading some of the comments, I was wondering were the homes empty when they were hit? Were there dogs in the home?

I am now going to have to rethink my alarm system as I'm sure others on here are doing as well. Again, I am sorry you have had to go through this.

@Johnc874 Thank you for all the information you posted on ADC (the only website I know ). It really helps all of us and I only pray someone can help in catching these scum for you.
I have to say, your gutsy to be laying in wait outside. Hope you or someone in your home were armed. You called it right thinking they would come back. It's just a shame the police didn't think to do the same.

Just before dark we were driving down Sunny Shores Dr & I only got a glimpse of a black man I believe in black slack pants & nice white shirt & a white woman with him looked sort of heavy set she had on a dress & looked as if she were older . I noticed them because I have never seen either before & they just sort of looked out of place . I didn't see a car parked in the street near where they were walking .

I would think they would like breaking in during the day when people are working . Unless of course they find one where people are out of town. If you can leave a car in the driveway day & night they may not bother your house .

Did you also see them ???? I for what ever reason just didn't think they lived here or belonged here .

Yes, on Magnolia Bend yesterday around 5pm. They knocked on my door and I had to repeatedly tell them sorry I could not come to the door. After about 4 knocks and saying something I couldn't understand they finally left. They didn't go to every house, like someone selling stuff normally would but were randomly going up to every few houses.

We had an older white man walk up to my neighbors home the other day (2-3 days ago)and my neighbor, a petite sweet lady, wouldn't open the door for him. He responded by yelling at her and saying "**** you, you don't even know what I want" all too many times for comfort.

@bbk I had a truck in the driveway, but I recently got in an accident in my main vehicle so I started to use the truck as my main vehicle while the other one was in the shop. I believe you are 100% correct. If I had that truck there I'm not sure if they would have come over. We also had a light timer on some bedroom lights that failed as well as the only street light on the street went out (which has since been reported). Bad day for everything to go wrong huh?

We have a "pressure sensor" for our doors and windows. When the alarm is set, any change in the air pressure in the room (which would result from a window or door being opened) sets it off. This way, they can't avoid the alarm system. And yes, it works, we have tried it. We got this kind because a few years ago, when my husband was out of work, they actually broke one of our front downstairs windows, in the middle of the day. The cops said it was part of their M.O. , they break a window to see if an alarm goes off. If it doesn't, they come back in a few days to collect stuff. Unfortunately for them, the alarm they set off was my husband!
