@TXNS_fan : It is tough. We are so very blessed also; however, there seems to be only doom and gloom. My Dh's employer of 30+ yrs. laid him off just as the Coronavirus was hitting the states. About the time we semi got of that shock that same company offered him a contract job during what he was doing. Can you hear my head rattling in South?

I feel for this years High School Seniors and College Seniors. You haven't talked to your Dd missing her Sr. Year?? It might help to talk. I know when I am worried about my Dd being disappointed, I say nothing until I burst and then I learn she didn't say anything to me because she didn't want to worry me.
We both talk, cry and laugh and POOF We feel better.

Vent, rant, scream - I think we are all feeling helpless a lot lately. In my 60+ yrs., this has been the worst. Hell, my 4 HOUSE cats are acting squirrelly lately - I think the CATS just want all of us to stop this lockdown business and go social distance somewhere anywhere else ......... but in their house. Simon just fell off of his 6 ft. cat tree ... gotta run.

@TXNS_fan : Take care of U!!

@TXNS_fan : The laughter and silliness is still going strong over here! Strange having DH home all this time but we enjoy each other's company. With my elderly parents just down the road and elderly MIL next door, we still visit them often. Still go to the grocery store like normal and Lowe's for some home projects to keep us busy. We only go to the grocery store every two weeks and have been to Lowe's twice. We had a small birthday for a dear friend in Willis last weekend and got loads of hugs all around. Everyone is happy and healthy with no panic.

Growing up in the 70's you rode your bike everywhere, didn't go to the store everyday. Going out to eat was a special treat and there was not a McDonald's every mile. Social circles were much smaller and you were careful of long-distance calls. You didn't want to go with your parents to Montgomery Wards because it was boring. Not going to the store everyday or out to eat was pretty common. The adjustment back to that mindset is not difficult for me.

I sat and waited for 5 months in the desert for Desert Storm. Had shower runs and 1 phone call to family a week (if they didn't answer you had to wait till the next run), no such thing as internet, got paper mail, VHS tapes and care packages as we sat in the desert. Doing without was common, doing nothing was an everyday thing. Playing spades, excercising, reading, and talking **** was an everyday thing. No TV except VHS movies in a communal rec tent. This hasn't even been 90 days yet.

I do have an 85 year old widowed mother that lives by herself in another state I worry about, but I do the same thing now I did back then. The serenity prayer.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.

Today has not been one of my best. I woke up at 11, had cereal and a cup of coffee. Laid down on the couch and went back to sleep.

@MrsT : I understand. I had bad arythmia last night and just couldn't relax to sleep. If wa a long day today in and out of naps after I finally found some cough medicine to know me out.

My mental state is declining very rapidly. My job is hit and miss. I am on call 24/7, and only go to work when called. Unemployment pays me depending on my work hours. No work equals $1121. Twenty hours equals $840. twenty five hours equals $0. I hate to admit it, but I pray that I work less than 25 hours a week. The two weeks I exceeded 25 hours, I worked 26 and 27. Those 1 and 2 hours cost me $600 each week. My employer doesn't care. When a client calls, we have to respond. Last night was nice. Our anniversary. Then **** got real today. My wife woke me at 3 am. Her chest hurts. She has dry cough. She has 99 degree temp (her normal is 97). Boom! Right outta nowhere. I went to work today. Come home at 3 pm. All the symptoms still present. Plus she wont stop crying. Trying to set up testing now. So, yes, my mental state is not too good. Also wanted to add, I have no symptoms.

@TheBoz : Hope you got her to testing and that all is ok. The stress is making my heart hurt. Hopefully hers will pass. That's not a bad fever, even still. They arelooking for over 101. I ran 101 the first day I felt sick in March and ran 97.1-97.4 every dayfor 2 weeks after that. The breathing is what you really have to stay on top of. Don't wait till it's bad to get her help.
You guys are in my prayers,

Praying for everyone. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We are blessed and thankful but a little stir crazy.

Missing friends and family and feeling little scared at times.

Thanking God DH67 is still working and I don't know what I'd do if you guys weren't keeping me busy making you masks.

Happy to have the girls home every day but feel sad that life for them is at a stand-still.

@TheBoz, on my goodness, sooo sorry, keep us posted. 😔

My truck is due for an inspection, and I'm very excited about the excuse to get out of the house to get that done.

Well all these Mass Suicide Documentaries Ive been watching keep me up at night and this morning I drank my Listerine so all in all I'd say that my mental state is exactly like its always been.
