@bbk : Banks and convenience stores are robbed every day and it has not stopped people from working there. There are wrecks where people are killed during rush hour traffic and it has not stopped people from driving to work. Maybe we should take back the $30,000,000 the Dems gave to the Kennedy Center and buy masks so we are prepared for next time😮. Trump has done a good job with this pandemic.

@BusyMommy : Or maybe you just enjoy dramatizing and complicating this.
Sandman is right. Do what you're supposed to do, take care of yourself and avoid those whom you think aren't being sensible about social distancing.
Unless LEO's are ordered to handle social gatherings, it's useless to constantly complain about the people not practicing social distancing.
The victim mentality is getting tiresome.
Take care of yourself and try to cheer up.

@JustPeachy : Isn't it funny that the same people complaining about President Trump have conveniently ignored how his predecessor did absolutely nothing during the H1N1 outbreak? Maybe they need a history lesson, a reminder, of how many people died during that pandemic. Didn't he go to the golf course the same day the CDC announced the danger of the spread of H1N1?
Also, if obama knew of Covid19 (as stated by bbk) why didn't he do something?
Can you imagine how awful this would be if hillary had won the election? She would have already rounded up all conservatives and the elderly and put in FEMA camps.

@ChloeW : nothing I said was a victim mentality. Nothing. I am concerned for others who are more vulnerable than myself. If that makes me a bad person in your and sandman's eyes, I am fine with it (even happy by it since I wouldn't want approval from anyone who doesn't defend the vulnerable).

@sandman : The problem is that it is much more complex than that. These idiots are putting others at risk because of their own stupidity and self-centered attitude. It makes me very angry to witness some attitudes out there. My niece is a doctor and they put her (and her family) and everyone else at risk because they refuse to take this seriously. They could be positive for the virus and not even know it. It may not even bother them personally, but they can easily transfer it to someone else who may not fare so well. BE PART OF THE SOLUTION, NOT PART OF THE PROBLEM. We all need to think BEYOND ourselves.

@LeverageShowFan :

I've said it a few times already, but here we go again:
- mind your own business
- don't worry about the things or people you can't control
- take action on the things and people that you can control (mainly yourself)
- government can't protect you from everything

I am not defending anybody that is acting like an idiot and not protecting themselves, and therefore are exposing others. If you are one of those "others" been exposed by these idiots, then do something about it (i.e. wash your hands for 20 seconds or more, don't touch your face, practice social distancing, wear a mask, etc.)

@sandman : Did I personally offend you in some way? I'm not running out in public telling everyone what to do and how to be, if that is what you think. OMG! I merely expressed my opinion. Sorry my opinion was too strong for your sensitivities. Your post is ironic ("mind your own business" --- really?) at best although I am sure that your concern is real. Have a nice day.

PS I know how to wash my hands, etc., etc. I have been practicing cleanliness before this virus came along (most likely long before you were even a gleam in your daddy's eyes ). Yes, I know. There are these microscopic bacteria thingys that need to be scrubbed off. (Lol … wanted to point that out before you "explained" that to me). Geez!

@JustPeachy : We've been over them a million times on here, they are not relevant now so get over it and talk about who is supposed to be in charge, not the woulda coulda shoulda.

ChloeW ~ 1 day, 10 hrs ago   Apr 08 2020, 9:08pm  JustPeachy : Isn't it funny that the same people complaining about President Trump have conveniently ignored how his predecessor did absolutely nothing during the H1N1 outbreak? @ChloeW : Pres Obama was Inaugurated Jan 20,2009 finished second term Jan 20,2017 April 15,2009 a 10 yr old in Ca was known to have the 1st case in the USA of the H1N1 ,so 3 mos after he took office .The virus was in 2009 & into 2010 & killed 282 Children in the USA &((( infected 61 million Americans ))) & ((killed )) in the US )))a TOTAL of 12,469 in the US . The World Health Organization declared an end to this virus on Aug 10, 2010. So this virus was a total of 4 mos long . Lots of people got this virus but in the US the total deaths were only (((12,469 )))

Covid -19 Cases in the USA 466,299 Deaths ((( 16,686 ))) So we see you say Pres Obama DID NOTHING & we need a History lesson & a reminder of how many died during that pandemic . Well I'm ready for your History lesson because we have no idea when Trump will get Covid-19 under control & no idea how many deaths will take place in the US. He is already 4,217 more deaths than Obama as of today 4/10/2020 . Obama had to fix the mess BUSH left him .global financial crisis & included a major stimulus package , a partial extension of the Bush tax cuts , legislation to reform health care , a major financial regulation reform bill & end of a major USmilitary presence in Iraq & much more but you can see he was quite busy .

Big mistake this virus lasted about 17 months not 4 mos . Sorry I have no idea where my mind was LOL !

I usually go to the neighborhood Walmart and it's not usually crowded so keeping a distance from others isn't a problem. But I went to HEB this morning...I tried to keep my distance from people to be respectful but everyone else was all up in my space. So I just gave up and went about my business. I was surprised that nobody was making much of an effort to keep their distance.
