@LeverageShowFan : First - love your username, that was the first show I ever binged watched!

Second - what are your smoothie recipes? Any without milk or yougart? Or maybe some with rum? Need to use up some of the frozen fresh fruit to make room in the freezer! TIA!

Can you freeze fresh fruit? I have many of those small oranges that I'm afraid will go bad soon. I'm thing frozen drinks too with all of my citrus.

chasinghosts : It's great to stock up!!! We, too, have an abundance of items that we always stock … long before this crisis happened (lots of paper goods, soaps, nonperishables, canned goods, rice, and beans). We also stock up on meat; however, we did not have many steaks so when I spotted those at HEB, I could not resist. We did indeed enjoy some steak. (Thanks). We aren't big meat eaters, so we usually eat about one-half of a steak each. I grilled steak outside and used the Foodsaver to individually freeze the remaining steaks. We had a baked potato and a big salad with the steak. It was nice. We have been eating the frozen foods out of our freezer also. I make a mean homemade Italian spaghetti meat sauce in a huge crock pot and freeze it in individual freezer quart bags. (I lay the bags down on a cookie sheet and freeze. Then I stack the bags, once frozen, in a plastic shoe box (without lid) and store in our standup freezer. I pretty much do the same thing with my homemade tostada soup. I prepare and freeze other meals also, but the homemade spaghetti sauce and the tostada soup are my personal favorites. We also store frozen fruit in the freezer for making smoothies with the Nutribullet. Wished I could have had that Nutribullet when the children were small. It is a good way to hide vegetables and get your children their daily supply of veggies. Kids will actually drink my triple berry smoothie (kid-tested … lol) because it actually is really good. The fruit, yogurt, and almond milk disguise the spinach. And the chia seeds that I add are a good source of omega -3 fatty acids and fiber as well.

@LeverageShowFan : I grew up in Chicago suburbs so you have to have food stored up for winter. Might not be able to go anywhere sometimes for weeks. Man all your food sounds so good. Made me hungry again. I do something similar with my Pasta Sauce. I grew up in an Italian neighborhood so I learned from some of the best. My pot is two ft. tall though. I freeze bags up and make a few Lasagna up to either share with family or later break into smaller packs for just us.

As I grabbed my 3rd roll out of what I thought was a 9-pk of TP, I realized it's actually a 12-pk 😲 I feel like I just found some money 😁

I get a lot of work-related tshirts from various companies, but almost never a casual enough option to wear them. That's all I've been wearing at home! So I look really committed on video calls and I'm getting use out of some cute tshirts.

@CelticStorm : I basically got recipes (and some ideas) from the NutriBullet Recipe Guide booket that came with my NutriBullet. My daughter and I like the "Triple Berry Smoothie." It reads as follows: Add ingredients to the NutriBullet cup in the order listed and blend until smooth.
1 cup Spinach (or other leafy greens) - Note: I use spinach.
1/2 cup Blueberries, frozen*
1/2 cup Raspberries, frozen *
1/2 cup Strawberries, frozen*
(NOTE: Or, 1 1/2 cups of frozen Mixed Berry blend instead)
1 cup unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (or Other Milk/ Milk Alternative) - Note: I accidentally purchased the sweetened Vanilla Almond Milk this time, but it's still pretty good & the sugar is not "overdone").
1/2 Plain Reduced - Fat Greek Yogurt - Note: I use Dannon Vanilla Greek Yogurt or the Kroger Brand if I can't get Dannon.

NOTE: I make this recipe "my own" by adding one small sliced up banana (frozen or not frozen) and a tablespoon of chia seeds (HEB has them in their "Health Section") right after I put the spinach in the Nutribullet.
Add all the above ingredients and blend in your Nutribullet. (NEVER store your smoothie in your Nutribullet. Store in separate containers/glasses with lids in refrigerator. Due to fermentation (a normal process) the contents build up pressure when stored in the nutribullet … a big no-no).

The beauty of this recipe is you don't actually taste the spinach (or, let's just say, I sure don't). It tastes like a fruit dessert to me!

@chasinghosts : Lol … it sounds like we are on the same page when it comes to being prepared. (Although you sound even more organized than myself. Kudos to you … luv it)! Emoticon My husband has Sicilian and Irish ancestors. (I better know how to make a good spaghetti sauce … lol). I grew up with a Mom who was always prepared. She always had items stockpiled. I learned from watching her.
