My maternal Great Grandmother came from Prague, Czechoslovakia (now divided into the Czech Republic and Slovakia) and settled in Shiner, TX. My maternal Great Grandfather came from Austria. My Dad was Scandinavian (primarily Danish), some German, some Dutch, some Irish, and Eastern/Central European (Heinz 57 … lol). And there was a little Italian (haha) somewhere in my Mom's ancestral background. Emoticon

@Mom1080s : I have not tried to freeze oranges, but I have heard that you can freeze Meyer lemons. However, I have not done it so I cannot tell you how that would turn out. Maybe you can try to freeze one and see how that works out …. or, squeeze the juice out of the oranges into ice cube trays and freeze that way. Sometimes, when I have Meyer lemons, I squeeze them and put the juice into ice cube trays to freeze. They are good in your iced tea. Also, good when I make homemade Asian Orange Chicken (recipe calls for orange juice, orange zest, and lemon juice). If anyone is interested, the Asian Orange Chicken recipe can be found on allrecipes.com. My family enjoys it. ******** I also buy strawberries, and if we aren't eating them quick enough, I wash them, cut them into halves, and freeze them. I use them in smoothies quite often.

My mom is about to throw a bag of homemade cookies she made for me through my car window. I'm 44.

@RedV : I know you're happy. My 31 yr old married son begs me for cookies all the time.
Bought chocolate chips the last time I went out to the store. Waiting for it to cool off again.

My 27yr old and I made a supplies run together. Hit dollar general, and got some cleaning supplies. We made our way to the little wal mart and found an 18 pack of tp, and a few groceries.

It's nice having the girls at the house again. Family dinners, cooking together, ect has been missed.

@blueyes : Maybe when the lemon tree was moved, it most likely became stressed and suffered shock. It happens to people …. and, well … it sometimes happens to plants too. You may not yield a crop of lemons for a year or two. I'm no expert … just guessing. Please just have patience. Your lemon tree probably just needs time to recover. Lol … your lemon tree does not hate you! If anything, your lemon tree appreciates your thoughtfulness, but needs to recover from the move. Just have patience. We can't rush blooms (lol). Seriously, I had one lemon tree that did not have blooms for a year or two …. then year three … boom …. blooms!!! Continue to baby your lemon tree. Emoticon And just remember when we show love, it comes back to us trifold …. we just must be patient.

@LeverageShowFan : I washed and froze a bunch of cilantro so I don't always have to run out for it.
