So no leads on the possible shooter? No motive? No updates at all?

This has gotten way off subject. Renters have nothing to do with this! Jesus people!

chasinghosts : Valid point. I do not think that newer is better. I would prefer that most of my neighbors were owners rather than renters. For me personally pride of ownership outweighs pride of renting when it comes to investing my time, money, upgrades, maintenance, etc into a home. I assume that most people are like me. I do have a question would you want to buy a home in a neighborhood where the majority of owners were owners or renters or doesn't matter to you? Just curious.

@tinytim : I would prefer not to. Mosty because I like to establish relationships with people and that's hard to do when they leave the area. When I grew up the neighbors rarely moved away. There are however alot of them near my home. Things are different, now everyone seems to be transient. But on the other hand rental homes are a necessity now, especially after natural disasters. There are alot of people who have come here and rent through the oil companies. My niece has a situation where they have to move away for a few years and they will be renting out their home in Kingwood. One of the oil companies is looking at renting it for their employees. I really hope they don't trash her beautiful place, but she will probably keep the outdoor upkeep that she has now.

Teen dies at hospital after shooting in Atascocita www.click2houston.co m/news/local/2020/02 /02/hcso-teen-dies-a t-hospital-afte

@TexasGal : So tragic that kids think this is the only way to resolve their issues. But hell, when you have parents running their mouths about shooting people it's no doubt the kids think it's ok.

@chasinghosts : In Kingwood, the renters may be oilfield companies. In Atascocita, we got leasers of Lexus renting homes within walking distance of the AHS athletic program.

@WeveBecomeEastHouston : Not sure what that means, but like I said alot of people rent due to business, alot of people rent for many different reasons. They could have been like us and come down to help with sick family, or maybe their home was taken in Harvey, Katrina, Imelda. If anyone thinks they're better than someone else because they own a home, that's between them and God. I have seen some homes around here that have obviously been lived in a long time by people and they don't all look so great. 1. no flowers, beat up garage door, 4 cars in the drive and two are on blocks etc.
2. clean your garage out, hoarding is one thing keeping junk is another, just keep it neat. Some garage doors don't even close.
I rented for 25 years because I didn't want to feel stuck where we lived before. Yep, I wasted alot of money but didn't have to sell when we moved here. I wish I had rented for a year before I bought here. I would have changed my mind and gone straight to AZ.

cbp210 : I don't know what your neighborhood is. Mine is Eagle Springs, and I'll be the first to admit parts of it are becoming an absolute crap hole. We've already decided to move. Our street looks like a junkyard these days.

@seegee : You can't move away from it, it will affect you somehow. It's up to us to make our neighborhoods better.
