@Lace : It was the Law Enforcement Officer who said the victim was not from the area in the interview , not the reporter.

@Lace : I've never heard anyone call it a bayou, usually it's just referred to as the drainage ditch or just the ditch.

I think technically it's an extension of Williams Gully which if you trace it back far enough drains out of Garners Bayou over by the movie theater in Fall Creek.

Although Williams Gully is also sometimes called Williams Bayou on maps so I guess it's not actually incorrect to call it a bayou.

@texas2011 : It's not the presence of guns it's the presence of poor culture.

Well Atascocita is no longer the safe middle class suburb we thought it was. Lot of rent houses around when I look at HAR. Neighborhoods are older, Eagle Springs and Atasca Woods are at least 10 plus years old.

Demographics change the days of quiet living are numbered.

@West-Tex : That is the first thing I heard this morning with ring going off. Sad times for that neighborhood. I'd be scared if I lived around there.

@ladybeachbum : problem is there was a shooting in Eagle Springs a few weeks ago. Won't be long before it is all over Atascocita.
