@brightlights Thanks for the recipe. I made this tonight and it was a huge hit. I used 3 cheese tortellini. I put in a shredded up Italian seasoned rotessierie chicken and mild Italian sausage with no veggies (used veggie stock to get the flavors) except the baby spinach but it came out wonderful. Also I found gnats in my flour so I couldn’t make the slurry but it still came out okay with just the heavy whipping cream.

Made a pot of chili too, you know now that it’s “winter” and cornbread so sweet you could ice it and call it cake.

@HumbleGirl You really can't mess that soup up! I change it up all the time. It's a definite crowd pleaser!

I made Schnitzel earlier this week. I used ground up gluten free pretzels and dried instant mashed potatoes for breading. I had never made it before and the wife jokingly told me to punch the meat with my hands instead of the meat tenderizer because it tastes better. Since I struggle to understand sarcasm, I did just that. I punched each one and flattened them out very nicely. Then the wife got home and laughed at me for 2 hours because I fell for it. They turned out better than hers though, so maybe you can really taste the difference, lol!

@blueyes is it where you buy a bucket of chicken and you don’t peek until dinner?

I'll throw a salad together to make us all feel better about red meat and sour cream. ☺

If you didn’t make @Brightlights tortellini soup, you’re missing out. I just made some and @Lynnsgirl made some too. It was very delicious, and I don’t have to cook tomorrow. I had 20oz package of tortellini, so I almost doubled the broth and put a whole quart of half-and-half. The soup is full of flavors, my family loved it
