If a store has self-serve lanes they should offer a 10% discount at those lanes for having to scan and bag your own groceries. Those things are frustrating and I avoid them!

There will always be *****s cussing, name calling (bullying) no matter what.Sometimes talking loud can be effective when you feel you are not being properly heard and you have a legitimate complaint, imo.

I prefer the self check out lanes. I can go faster than most of the checkers anyway lol! I like to control my own destiny.Shout out to the young lady in the photo center at the Humble SAMs who just now rescued me from a ginormous line with my 3 items. I know she didn't have to do that!

I had one customer cuss out one of my cashiers because she had a basket of about 70 items and wanted to check out in a 15 items or less line that already had about five people with the RIGHT AMOUNT already waiting there. The cashier told her, politely, that she would have to go to a regular register. The woman proceeded to call her a b**** along with some other expletives. @nikkiole: Just allocate more lanes to non express. This will force express shoppers to learn to use self checkout. You are limiting cashiers when you delegate so many for express. Why not use one express lane. Why so many.

But when you have 5 express lanes open and two full service lanes with lines - you think customers getting cranky is uncalled for?Customers only understand service - don't care any of your excuses or reasons valid or not for lack of accommodations.proper prior planning prevents .......eh.......
We all know when a woman vents - she isn't looking for a solution..... or feedback often times.....

I think people should be accustomed to having to wait in line. At least we aren't waiting in line for food rations! I never get snappy with the cashiers. They have NO control over staffing. Now I have walked about leaving a cart full of crap if the employees are just being lazy or too wrapped up in their own conversation to do their job.
