Parts of an email I just recieved: "From a Club standpoint, proceeds generated from the sale are going to be used to renovate the Athletic facility including the fitness, tennis and swimming areas. Our vision with this facility has always been to turn it more into a “Community Center” giving residents even more value for your membership privileges. I have been authorized to begin creating plans and renderings which will illustrate and explain the significant impact to the community. Once the renovations are complete, the facility coupled with a thriving Golf and Country Club will offer amenities unmatched when compared to area subdivisions thus adding to not only to your family’s lifestyle but the value of residing within the Community. These plans are forthcoming and will be sent out and posted as soon as they are formally generated."...does this mean compention for the Overlook???

Sounds like a done deal and the club is into the mode of selling "why this will be good for all the members". They'll have to do some very amazing things to satisfy everyone who is **** over the idea of these houses being built on these particular lots.

@MooMaw: Sounds like something the ACIA board tried to "sell" their members a few years ago. These members were smart enough to tell their board a big NO.

Looks like you folks are going to see your dues go up again !!! Talk to some of your homeowners that have been there from about 1980 & let them explain what that exercise facility was all about when it 1st opened many yrs ago . It was a GRAND wonderful place & nothing in our area like it at that time .

If they take outside members , they can advertise on the Pinehurst Trail blvds within ACIA?

Does anybody have any information on the public meeting? How did it go?
