There is also 34 new houses being built at the end of Relay, which dead ends to the back of the Country Club. The proposed plot sizes there will only be 50 feet wide, and will not be subject to deed restrictions of Walden on Lake Houston, Olympic Village, There is a hearing scheduled on May 1st at 230pm in downtown Houston. This so called "replaying" is a disgrace to our entire Community! I am very disappointed in Walden for SELLING OUT!!!!!!

What happened at the meeting? Is the land currently owned by the country/ golf club?

If facing the Walden Country club you look off to the right & see a bunch of new fences in the back yards of these houses that all of them look alike . Then if you drive to the front of them they all look alike & have for lease signs up .What's the deal ? Did they try to sell them & they wouldn't sell so now they'll lease them all ? Who is that builder that built them ? They look to me like they are on 50 ft lots .

I wouldn't say they are on the lake. They are more on the canal that runs off the lake. The letter was sent by the City of Houston advising of a hearing they are having on May 1 at City Hall.

Trying to figure out if we'll see them. Is that on the Cross Country or Aquatic side? Is it that wooded area? Is it a public hearing?

If you are driving down Walden Forest going towards the back of Walden, you pass the CC on your left. The little piece of land that is just to the right of the CC is where they want to build the houses. It is right across the street from the driving range at the bridge before you cross over and it becomes Trophy Place.

Yes it is a public hearing. I thought everyone in Walden would have received the letter. My letter is at home but I will try to scan it and put it on here.

There's a big sign on the patch of grass where the houses will be built. It's a notice of public hearing.

Again, can't believe Walden Golf & Country Club is not standing up to squash this. Maybe they are, for all I know. But if they aren't --- then they either have no brains or no backbone. Hopefully they aren't so shortsighted to think the additional social memberships makes this good for them.

11 cheap little houses sitting almost literally on top of the country club property? This will be a horrible thing for the CC and residents of Walden. The cheap little houses across the creek/bayou is bad. If more are built on that patch of grass across from the driving range it will be horrible.

The hearing is going to be at Houston City Hall downtown?

@GregButtle:

This land appears to me to be account 115-236-024-0098 in HCAD and is owned by the same listed owners as the country club property. If this is correct, I wouldn't look for the club to try and squash this.
