Am I reading these posts correctly - there are 2 areas of development going in within Walden? Did they sell the land and it's not recorded yet? One across from the driving range and one off Relay? Will they be condos? I can't see 34 homes fitting there.

@Palm Springs: Don't know about Relay, but the sign across from the driving range says 11 houses. This is the property that appears to be owned by the club owners according to HCAD. I would guess the land at the end of Relay is also owned by the same.
Does the club need funds?

Yes, our fees every month is not enough to sustain the club/course.

MooMaw what are the fees ? I thought they were about 70 $ per month or $ 840 per yr .

Gone up to about 84 dollars...yeah.

Is the club owned by a for-profit company. If so, the dues will never be enough.

I was at Walden last night and people are furious. When I mentioned to someone who has a much better finger on the pulse down there than I do that people are furious, they replied "it's unanimous - everyone is furious."

I believe the public hearing is tomorrow. Is a large group attending?

$84 a month? Is that inclusive of your HOA fees or in addition?

Nope, the 84 is just to live in this wonderful neighborhood and enjoy the modern pool, and exercise area. It is separate from the HOA.

Greg, I was at the Walden meeting and will try to make the scheduled meeting today. So proud of our Walden neighbors. They do not play around. =)
