I was employed by good southern dem politicians at the time so I know.Governors don't matter - the south stayed dem on a local and state level for years after they voted repub for pres.

In the words of Tip O'Neil -- "All politics is local." I would argue the governor is more important than the president. But perhaps on another thread.

apology accepted. BTW, I don't think rocket is discouraged by anything I have to say. I will say again....this board should be for fun, even if it is a history lesson. Condescending comments against some, to begin those lessons, or insults hidden behind niceties, are BS, and that is what I will generally call out.
