On Thursday, June 25th, the greater Harris County Precinct 2 opened Atascocita Park to the public.
The $11.5 million development features a picnic pavilion, a unique playscape, complete with a netted skywalk and enclosed slide, and restrooms with a covered entrance and drinking fountains. Dog owners will appreciate the one-acre fenced dog park, with separate areas for small and large breeds.
Paved trails lead to a boardwalk that spans over a natural pond covered in lily pads.
Atascocita Park is open daily from dawn to dusk.
