Gusty Winds Elevate Fire Risks Across Texas Region
Fire Weather Potential Be extremely cautious or avoid completely, outdoor activities that could cause a grass/brush fire to catch and spread.
Another outbreak of wildfires increasingly likely over a large portion of Texas on Friday into Saturday.
Little to no rain is expected over the next 5-7 days with wildland fire threats in place with gusty winds in association with dry frontal passages. Strong winds on Friday will likely result in an expansive area of dust from west Texas to be pushed eastward into much of the state by Friday evening. It is possible that dust including reduced visibilities could arrive into SE TX late Friday into the overnight hours.

We really need rain. Help wash the pollen out of the sky too.
Are we entering The Dustbowl v2.0? Every storm in the past month or so has kicked up a ton of dust. So much that you can see it quite easily on satellite. I don't remember that happening so frequently in the past
