@FenderBass : All I remember is what she called gnocchi but it looked like torts. Could just be what she called it or her family called it. Maybe it's just the way she made them looked like Torts.

Ok, so my brother inlaw said his grandmother was jus a terrible cook and she did make Tortelloni but called it gnocchi, probably because she didn't know the correct name for it. It seems it's the only thing she knew how to make for company. That is my mistake for not knowing the difference, even though I was raised on mostly Italian food, neither was anything I had ever had before so I didn't know the difference when she called it that.
