Different cop different day , next time could be a shot to the head . If the police get involved you better put your hands up , some won't mess with you the kid should get smart before the rodent is dead.

@dAutumn : I'm sure you do. I bet this upstanding young man was sitting at home minding his own business. An office randomly knocked on his door and told him to try and resist arrest so she could ultimately arrest him and have his picture posted on a public forum.

Quite a number of us back the blue around here.

Although it is cute having new members with ******* of the week winners getting posted; this probably isnt worth blowing too much out of proportion. Sounds like the kid got a lesson in obeying instructions from LEO. Probably regretted it within minutes - life goes on. Hopefully lesson learned and next interaction will include some - "yes Ma'am and No Ma'am s"

@AtascocitaDotCom : the accused thugs bond just isn't high enough! If you attack a peace officer it should be automatic 5 years to start mandatory and maybe a million dollar bond and maybe we wouldn't have so much crime! Plus ... if the 19 year old thug can beat up / harm a peace officer what would he do to our children or our grandparents? I think we have no choice than to start getting touch on crime Texas! TIMES have changed. My heart goes out to the amazing peace officer and she is in our prayers!!

I too used to "back the blue" until being treated like a thug when I was doing nothing wrong, was put in hand cuffs way too tight didn't have feeling in my hands for over 2 months, sat in cuffs for 2 hours just for the proper officer to show up and tell the other officer to get me out of cuffs and let me go. They use their badge and think they are over powered. They aren't above the law they are supposed to enforce it. Just yesterday I was almost hit by an officer because he was on his laptop while driving down the road, if he were to hit me, somehow it would have turned out to be my fault. You dont k ow what happened in this instance so keep your mouths shut. I know this kid very well and hes not a "thug" get over yourselves.

Amazing.. I used the shoot competitively with a lot of cops, and the kind of personality it takes to become a cop is different then most. But I had one tell me a long time ago that nobody gets beat up that doesn't bring it on themselves.

They deal with thugs are taught to escalate aggression past what they have to deal with.

If somebody was shooting a gun at you, who would you call? Some of your thug friends, or somebody that would come speeding into the mix?

Just hopefully the cop wouldn't be like the POS in Fla ..

@Ordnanceman :
I get the premise of your point here but i would only be calling for them to take a report only after handling the threat, my first call would be to an attorney

@Punksfriend : Why not enlighten all of us about your friend and this situation that we don't know anything about.

Let's start with, he's a good kid going to college and working two jobs, sings in the church choir, volunteers at the local animal shelter, runs 5K Charity Runs on weekends, mows his elderly neighbors yards, graduated top of his class in high school, etc.....

Lead that into how he was just sitting at home minding his own business and the police showed up forcing him to resist arrest so they could then arrest him. All of that so we would have something to discuss here?

I mean, c'mon. Are you trying to suggest to us that he never attempted to resist arrest? Was that a fabrication? Any witnesses if that is the case?

@lana7018
It is never anyone's fault but the cops! EVER! That is society today. For whatever reason, it's the teachers fault, the cops fault, etc., etc. It is NEVER that persons fault. What the heck happened to the days when people would own up to their mistakes and failures instead of blaming everyone else for everything. People need to grow the heck up and take responsibility for themselves and their decisions/actions.
