@yomom, the juvenile faculty is right across the street from the main jail. Both are on Ygnacio.

The Pam Lychner jail was built 15 years or so ago. Also in the area is what's left of the county boot camp for Juvenal offenders . That is correct, it is for of fences with a sentence of two years or less. I used to have a work crew of offenders (what they were referred to as) from there at the park. I really missed them when the program ended. They did great work.

On release day, it is not uncommon for one of them to start a fight. Some are safer on the inside than on the outside.

I am a little confused by the two years or less thing. There is a "J" block, I think they called it, with serious offenders. One man came home home and found wife in bed with another man. He killed him. That would not get you two years or less.

@SteelerNation

Years ago there was a class of offenses listed as State Jail Felonies. This was to help relieve overcrowding in the prisons. Some things may have changed, I've been out of the loop for a while. Many are run by third party corporations. Lychner isn't one of them.

None of us have ever had to bail lynnsgirl or ginx out so far, so I'm good!

@brightlights

As far as you know!!!! LOL

On another note, bail is not an option for Prison. Jail yes, prison no! Prison is after a person has been convicted and they need to spend more than a year and a day in confinement.

@yomom

I drove down Woodland Hills and saw the police lights still on at the dead end. I'm assuming that the individual has not been caught.

I didn't even know there was a jail there. Did it say what he was convicted for? Reply

Anyone know what's going on with the constables and helicopter out by aspen glen? Reply Quote  Tips        4

@blueyes

I assume it's the same thing. Looking at a map there is a ditch/bayou behind the prison that runs through the woods directly to ES. Easy path for an escapee to take.
