I'm just sad for the girls. I'm sad that our world has become a place where I even know about something so private. I do understand that a 14 year old boy is going to experiment - honestly if it was a non-related girl that was 12 or 13 I would be like, um why are we even talking about this? Two minors played around, big deal. But not on your little sisters. sheesh.

I talk to my kids about sex completely outside of any religious conversation whatsoever. They need to know the names of things, how things work, how you get pregnant, how you know if the other person is consenting, what the laws are etc. Plain straight talk is what I believe in on this subject. My kids can come to me with ANY question. I never want them to be confused on any aspect of the subject. I think in some ways this kind of sheltered evangelical upbringing the Duggars do robs children of the vocabulary and terminology they need in order to feel like they can come to their parents about things. The last thing I want is a bunch of jesus/forgiveness/purity/sin stuff muddying the waters. This is called BIOLOGY.

I never really had much respect for jimbob or the walking uterus, but now I think they are pure evil. I think it is pretty clear that something happened to him that messed him up and we know something happened to at least four of the girls and the parents totally FAILED at their job. No love for their children at all!
