@Sammee I have plantar fasciitis & have been through stretches , splints , pills by mouth & cortisone shots in my feet which are sooooo painful !!!! Oh rolling my foot over a tennis ball & ice packs . No SURGERY FOR ME . My girlfriend after her 1st botched surgery now has had 3 operations & another new doctor is promising her he can fix her feet but she'll be in bed for 6 mos . Which is exactly what my MD warned me about & said don't opt for the surgery till your life is REALLY being effected then go do it .
You know those cheep flip flops you can get a walgreens? There are 2 kinds one is soft & squishy the other is hard . Well I bought a pair of the soft ones about maybe 12 yrs ago to run around in after my bath . All of a sudden my feet were no longer KILLING ME ! What I began to understand was that my feet with every step I took my heel LEFT THE SHOE & the muscle's were being stretched with every single step. A closed in shoe most of the time kills me . Any of the flip flops with the soft flexible sole are a blessing for me . I have had NO SHOTS IN MY FEET for 12 years !!!
Think about some of the tribes in Africa with no shoes & some run 20 miles a day to villages around them . The older people in those tribes did the same thing & they are still walking around .They didn't have a supportive shoe .They are using every muscle in their feet .
