Ugh- case in point. A litter of 8 week old Lab pups got dumped in front of Conroe!! Scrambling for fosters. It just never ends!!!!!!!!

@Jpgurl I just hate to hear these stories. Poor puppies. We've been following www.tiny kittens.com , which is a rescue out of Canada that markets for adoptive families by doing live webcasts of the kittens' shinanigins--super cute, DD loves it! Their last litter was left in a deep trashcan for days. Poor little kittens. Those sweet babies were nursed back to health and just got adopted. 🐱

Unfortunately, animals are dumped every day. There are lots of litters during spring. We just added some 8 week old pups to our site. They are so cute!

@Jpgurl I'd come but then I have to bring another dog home! Thank you for working with these pets. I hope they all get a home. All of ours are rescues.

I had a bad experience with a rescue foster home. We had neighbors who had a "rescue" dog hoarding situation going on for quite some time. The conditions those dogs were living in were deplorable, filthy, caged.... They took those dogs to a well known pet store chain for adoptions. Yes, authorities were called on numerous occasions. That did no good, as the people eventually moved their filthy dog rescue elsewhere. I understand the rescue organization wanting to thoroughly check out the prospective adoptive family, but I want to be able to do the same to the rescue/foster. I want to know for certain that the dog came from the clean, loving foster family as advertised.

Luke needs a foster home. He was found wandering in a parking lot. Loves belly rubs. Weighs 85 lbs. He is a big boy.

@sandman Our event is Sunday- I just found out Lucky will be in attendance! Not sure who else will be there- I dealing with my old dog TJ- he probably has cancer. I am planning on being at the event tho!!!

@Jpgurl yes, puppy prayers sent your way. I don't know what I'm going to do when mine are gone. Hopefully I still have a while.

@Sammee if you are on fb you might want to check out some groups. I belong to a weim group and we have people asking all the time, "I'm thinking of adopting a wiem, what do I need to know?" or "are they good with small children, etc.?". It's a good way to get real information on a breed and not just from a book. just a thought.
