Just got some sad news..

Gustavo just found out a very good friend and former colleague of his suddenly passed away due to complications from covid. This is the first person I've known personally (I had met him a few times) that has passed away because of it.

I'm not afraid to say it, I was wrong in my beliefs.. that was a smack of reality my hard headed self didn't want to accept. You do see things in a different light when it affects you or the ones you love personally.

@West-Tex : I kinda had to do some searching to find out the details. He wasn't given any details other than he had passed. I hate I had to be the bearer of even worse news for him but at least now he knows

I'm so sorry this has happened so close to you. I just recently had three of my closest friends get this and the symptoms lasted about a week for two of them and hard hitting and one of them barely had any symptoms. All three took every precautions they could while at work or if they went anywhere outside there home.

@Andi7 : I really hope he can find out more details eventually. All I could gather was he was rushed to the hospital early in the morning and passed away just a couple hours later.. what we don't know is if it was instantaneous or if he had been sick for awhile. Maybe we will never know but it certainly is frightening

@HumbleGirl : I understand completely. Really unsettles a person. I found on FB yesterday that a woman I me..t a few years ago had passed from covid. Then found out a woman that I have known for about 20 yrs. Was in St. Luke's since last Wed. She's getting out tomorrow, thank goodness! When it hits this close to home ...
