@Weathergirl5 : So, now, you are really making me hungry. That salmon looks pretty darn good, too.

chasinghosts : I have never heard of thickening gravy with flour & ( butter ). I have heard of flour & water . But most people when I was growing up used corn starch & water . My parents both used cornstarch & water . But I'll have to try this .

@bbk : I use Wondra and water or milk for lighter colored gravy. If I'm out of water I use flour, but you have to mix either one in with the liquid really well and stir with a whisk to keep from lumping.

@ladybeachbum : Thank you. It turned out well. I love how fork tender the meat gets.

chasinghosts : Thank you so much. It's one of my favorite comfort meals. And thank you for the tip!

@Weathergirl5 : Mine too and I'm making it right now! You're welcome. My fav comfort meal is scalloped potatoes and ham. Problem is I'll eat all of it.

Yesterday I ordered homemade tamales and had them for lunch and dinner.
I think tonight it's tamale leftovers.
I usually order 6 pork ones and 6 with cheese for DD. The lady brought an extra dozen with cheese and they were so good, I can eat them every day.

@chasinghosts : My grandmother used to make the most amazing scalloped potatoes. I wish I had gotten her recipe before she passed away.

@Weathergirl5 : I never had them for breakfast. I need to try that. I love Mexican breakfast. I learned to cook Napalitos after trying coworker's and having them every morning in the hotel. Mine came out pretty good too.
