I have now visited about a half dozen Italian restaurant North of Beltway 8. It appears Italiano's is the ONLY place that charges extra for a little extra red sauce. It's interesting because most of Italiano's dishes using red sauces are very lacking on the sauce, almost dry. So they are setting you up. They serve something the requires additional sauce and then when you ask for it, they charge you extra. Go figure.....
@FenderBass :
That's strange. I order the pans of Lasagna frequently and they stick a decent size bowl of red sauce in there that nobody needs for the lasagna, but we use it to dip the rolls in, then stick it in the fridge to mix with some pasta at a later date.
We also dine in a cpl times a week after golf, I've never needed any add'l sauce there but if I did I prolly wouldn't mind paying for it, as Ive eaten at a lot of Italian restaurants too and haven't found any I can get a great Fettuccine Alfredo and a cpl beers for under $20. It's our go-to restaurant.
How much was the charge?
