We made our DD wash her clothes and she cleans her own room and bathroom and dishes after dinner. With the laundry though I'd see her wash a pair of jeans by themselves or just one top, that did not work for me. She brings all her clothes on Friday or Saturday and I do it with my laundry.
I try not to ***** ah her too much, I just close her room door and don't look at it until Saturday. She spends half of Saturday sorting/cleaning. If she misses an event then it's on her. We also tried a method of tidying up every evening so it's almost so overwhelming on Saturday, it doesn't always work because she's tired from school + homework + after school activities + TV time with us and go to bed at 9.

Well, in my case! I got rid of the husband and his two kids that lived with us full time! Then pretty much took care of the problem. I now have a cleaning lady that takes care of me!

It just didn't seem like a good way to solve problems in a marriage but to each her own.

@Cabin_Mama :I think being able to say or complain or gripe or ***** to your husband or to your wife should never be a problem . The problem becomes a problem when you overlook , ignore or just flat out don't discuss what bothers you .

@ Cabin mama --P 2 I said a woman can CHOOSE to B &%$# about it if her husband CHOOSES to leave a mess. Lets see how long he wants to hear that .You click on the crying face as a response to what I wrote . I then on page 2 asked you why you clicked on the crying face , waited & got no answer as to why .
So I then on p 2 say this ---I should think a 50 yr marriage to 1 & only 1 man is proof enough 1- we love each other 2-we excel at problem solving . 3- We have steadfastness . We dated 4&1/2 yrs before we got married . We didn't enter a marriage with rose colored glasses on . Far as i know a little B*&*%$#! never hurt anybody ! You had a problem with MY USE OF WORDS & you have every right to say that .So if that's the case when I asked you why you clicked on the crying face which portrays SADNESS & TEARS As my 1st question to you why didn't you tell me then ??? I up above had come back & used the words being able to say,complain ,or gripe or B**** . So I am sorry I offended you with my choice of words & perhaps in the context that I used it .
