I bought one of those personal melons a while back. Took it home and set it on the table. At that point I didn't quite know what to expect. Do I talk to it or what. In the end I took it back to the store because as hard as I tried the chemistry wasn't there.

@Smokeybear : You should have gotten two. A pair. Add rum. With a pair of liquored up melons, magical things can happen.

I like watermelon cut in chunks with basil and feta cheese, dressed with pepper, salt, olive oil and a bit of balsamic. Seriously good stuff.

@Lynn's girl Got it from that chef Michael Chiarelli (not sure of spelling) . He does mostly Italian cooking so maybe it's Italian? When my hubs did it at first I said " great you ruined my damn watermelon!" Turns out my husband knowsays a little something ☺
