Or why we put our hand on the Bible when we are sworn in (although now you can put your hand on a ham sandwich).

Atascocita888, Trump didn't put his hand on the Bible when he swore in for his 2nd term.Anyway, I'm a Christian that doesn't believe in pushing Christianity onto others. I don't agree with, and vehemently denounce, the current legislation on Education.

eighteen : Correct, but his wife Melania, was holding two Bibles-the Lincoln Bible and a Bible his mother gave him. That is better than what others do and what they put their hand on.eighteen : Yes, but you kind of do if you are praying for someone to be saved. Of course most Christians never pray for others souls now do they. They only worry about their own, who cares about everyone else, let them find their own way to heaven.

If your separation was what you think it is then God would not have been mentioned in any documents founding this country and the founding fathers would not have started their sessions with prayer and they would not have mentioned where our rights come from….where do they come from? Not from the government, nope. They just are not going to go kill you cause you don't believe in the God they founded the country on. You do you but don't come into this country and try to change this country. If you want to change a country go to the Arab world and see how far you get in changing their culture and beliefs.

Atascocita888, No, that doesn't count. She wasn't taking an oath, he was. Secondly, you're comfusing Christian Nationalist for plain old Christians. Praying for someone doesn't subject them to your religion. Prayer is personal. It can be done quietly, or aloud; in your home/car, or out in public.
