I'm not sure I'd like the sun rising at 8:00ish in the winter.

@Luckysis :
Yea I find that super weird, even later some days. Kids starting school before the sun even comes up.

Interesting, years ago the Senate passed a similar bill and the House did nothing. It was more symbolic than Legislative. Now the House passes the same thing. I wonder if the Senate will ignore it like the House did. During the Oil crisis of'74 we kept DST into the Winter. I had an 8am archery class in College. It was a joke, we couldn't see the targets until the class was almost over…

Why don't they look into just keeping "standard" time (not DST). How would that affect Houston? Seems closer to nature.
It is a good idea (for our bodies) to keep a consistent sleep time for our circadian rhythm since every organ in our body responds to our circadian rhythm.
When it is disrupted, either with sleep apnea or night shifts, or time changes,....we are are higher risks for heart disease/ strokes/ inflammation....
But we really don't have politicians who understand/respect science these days....

That's why I was hoping they would "meet in the middle" and just move it 30 minutes back this fall and no more changes afterward....Seems such a simple solution IMO.... #msg2192453
