@BuckWild : Oh it sounds like it. Someone took a box cutter and cut a long line down the liner. I don't know why people do that because that reflection pool is for everyone to enjoy.

The doj spending more effort on reflection pool than on Epstein pedophiles. Holding people accountable for damage to monuments in dc? How about holding the J6 vandals accountable, or the idiot that tore down the east wing without authorization or permitting? I see the green paint didn't last long on the 86 47 lawn art. And finally the curtains are still up covering the promenade at the Kennedy center, trying to hide the embarrassing striking of trumps assault on the memorial center. Although the tarps are now being utilized as a screen for projections of video attacks on trump and his croonies. #msg2188232

@Maxsmom : there are surveillance cameras on the pool. If this had happened the video would be public. If the surface was prepared and the material applied properly, a 17 mm dollar liner would not be destroyed and freely peel away from a simple box cutter effort.

But it seems to me, that if the repairs are due to faulty install, it would be at contractors expense (warranty), but if the repairs are due to vandals, then a the contractor just won another payday.
