@BusyMommy ha, this house did, up until right before we bought it. It died, the owner then said he would replace it before closing, and he did, alright, with a cabinet! I'll tell you what gave me the most pause, upon reading that.. did they plan home inspections, in order to guarantee compliance? How else would they know if you had a garbage compactor or not? Would your neighbors have to rat you out? The garbage men?

@Posterguy I don't know about that lol. I had a run in with the HOA police back when we bought the house. Just as a bit of background, we never saw the house in person until the day before closing. We bought online. So, there was this basketball hoop in the driveway. The backboard was cracked. We really thought nothing of it. Well, 4 months after we moved in, I get a certified letter threatening lawsuit from the HOA if we didn't remove it. I was like, "Hell, that escalated quickly" and I called them. It turns out, they'd been mailing us notices about it for 4 months. To our old address in Pennsylvania. Which I don't even have any idea how they got. And no, for some reason, they weren't forwarded. Their explanation? Well, we don't know, this house here could be a vacation home. Frankly, I'm still baffled about the whole thing On another note, yes, they are old school smileys! That last one is a tongue sticking out...

And yes, considering it was a rollaway backboard, I was amused by the priorities. And it was sideways to the street, so the only way they could have seen it was cracked was by walking up my driveway.

Yes and some HOA documents contain language that stipulate Caucasian residents only believe it or not- not ours. We only have servants(race not specified). Reading the documents is a good thing, some in particular should do it.My wife and kids could qualify as domestic servants- do not tell them I said so it would ruin a good thing -lol
