@Posterguy

I would be willing to compromise... I would agree to "no one under 1 year of age fires full auto." Seems like a resonable restriction to me... ;-)

Counter offer- no under 101 years old fires full auto." Seems like a reasonable restriction to me... ;-)

Now that I think about 3 years old does not seem too young to drive a Bugatti Veyron.Sandman you may be on to something.

@Posterguy:

How about the fact that machine guns have been restricted for nearly 80 years?

I know that,why do you think that is?Enough knuckleheads running around with semi and not machine guns, imagine if they had them.I know you don't think kids should be playing with machine guns, that is what I am saying.I am not asking to have everyone turn in their guns, just a common sense ruleThat is just how I feel about it.

Why do I think that is? The NFA of 1934 was passed due to the gangland crimes of the 20's and 30's of the Prohibition era. So, one bad government action (prohibition) lead to increase in crime, scaring the population, which accepted the "common sense" restrictions of the NFA.

Every time a gun control proponent throws in an argument the phrases "reasonable restrictions" or "common sense" it usually isn't... simple as that.
