Johney actually hasn't done too bad in action so far. lots of discipline issues to address - still hasnt taken some hard hits; but not a failure yet - he will get a shot - if he can keep his act together.

I think his excuse was far worse (weak) than the bird he flipped.

Personally, I love to see some passion in my football players.

Way more entertaining than this sterile, no celebration, no smack talk, sissified direction the NFL seems to want to go in.

Bring on the Johnny Football, Richard Sherman, and the like. Everyone can't be squeaky clean like JJ Watt.

I watched part of the game...I was really surprised at RGIII taking the risks he was taking out there. He got out and got popped pretty good a few times...Should know better by now.

Johnny will be what he is, unfortunately for him, with those actions he just hung a bigger target than he already had on his chest. Every defense will be trying to draw him out, and likely will be successful, if he can't grow up pretty quick.

@Fairlane67:

Man hell must be cold this morning because we actually agree on something. My take is as a rookie, Johnny hasn't earned the right to be flipping the bird to the opposition. He's hasn't even played his first 'real' NFL game. As you pointed out every defensive squad in the league will be looking to light his butt up, and in my opinion deservedly so.

Hoyer has looked pathetic in the first 2 games.... Johnny has been average .....
Hoyer getting the nod is probably a signal to Johnny to grow up .....
This is probably the best thing right now for JM .... Rookies suck as a qb in NFL and especially on the browns...... Johnny can sit back and learn and let hoyer take the punishment .....
And plus it will give the haters a chance to shut the hell up..... I say he will be in there by week 5 when they are 0~4 ,

Edit-
I just thought of something.... This entirely screws up Lana's first round draft strategy

Hardly. However, I certainly hope you take him round one to hide him on your bench until your prediction comes to fruition.

That would teach us a lesson for sure!

Manziel never expected to start in the season opener. He admitted last week that he still had some things to work on. His numbers on Monday night were better that Hoyer's. Manziel does have some growing up to do. IMO he should have stayed in Aggieland for a couple more years. If the media would get out of his *** and leave him alone, then maybe he grow up. He does not need his every move played out in the media. The media has put a target on him by reporting every little thing that he does. I hope he does well and like @moomaw, I look forward to seeing what he will do.
