That same grand jury "in Austin" indicted Attorney General and he was sentenced to 10 years in prison!

Actually this is such a minor story - I don't know why all the defensive / upset posturing..... Although I will be watching to see how it plays out.

Grand Jury does its job; up to the court system to do its job now.....

Perry getting the ole mugshot and fingerprint now....

Excerpt from Texas Gov. Perry arrives for booking on charges:

No one disputes that Perry has the right to veto any measures passed by the state Legislature, including any parts of the state budget.

But the complaint against Perry alleges that by publicly threatening a veto and trying to force Lehmberg to resign, he coerced her. The Republican judge assigned to the case has assigned a San Antonio-based special prosecutor who insists the case is stronger than it may outwardly appear.

One of the Jurors was an active Democratic Party Delegate...I am sure it was just a random selection...I believe yes the court will do its job now... case dismissed.

I am not huge Perry fan, as I have said here before...but this is a farce and it smelled from far away.

Rick Perry is saying that the indictment against him is an abuse of power. I am inclined to believe him. After all, he is an expert on abuse of power....
