I believe we disagree on some things here....simply put, any organization that founds itself based on race, is fatally flawed....because any, that are not of that race will view them as inherently racist to begin with. They are divisive, not diverse. My opinion any way.
Anyway, I visit NY often on business, and very much like to do so....mainly to eat pizza, nothing like it anywhere.

I know nothing of the current NAACP. I do believe there would still be places in the South where black citizens could not vote had there not been an organized effort to change the culture. I say culture because in most cases the laws were on the books but were being ignored.
All organizations are flawed.
I've noticed a trend here in that the posters here who complain about the NAACP also complain about the Martin Luther King, Jr. birthday holiday, Juneteenth, United Negro College Fund.
I could completely ignore/not respond to these posts except newcomers' impressions of the community concern me.
