"As mentioned, I've not received an agenda. I've not been told it is found under a Documents folder on our website. I have received postal mailed and emailed meeting notifications and seen them posted online. Upon opening the notifications, I do not recall seeing an agenda or a link to an agenda or a message telling me where to find an agenda online. In fact, I have never looked for one, wanted to see one, or asked for one."
If that is the case I apologize.
The central issue is this ,many people who are posting on here have no direct knowledge of what the Atascocita Community Improvement Association board has done in the meetings, what communications have been had with the board, what the board has been advised and actions the board has taken outside of open meetings.
Many have portrayed these posts as personal attacks.I do not know the board members personally and any postings on here are relevant to the conducting of the business of the Atascocita Community Improvement Association.
Was it not recently posted on these message boards that I must be a realtor in Eagle Springs and am trying to drive down prices in the ACIA or something to that effect- What do you call that?
Getting back to the actions of the ACIA board, 3 members are former board members of other associations so it is reasonable to assume that they have some experience.
Also they have advisers in the form of the management company,I think the same law firm as Eagle springs, and all of are governing documents and TX. laws are available to be read and studied.
Let me give you an example of how this has worked. The board brought up adding 2 acres to the ACIA that was wooded and needs much maintenance. It was 2 acres with an ACIA entrance sign on a very small portion .Members requested that the board find out the cost of moving the sign and the cost of cleaning up the land. Also the governing documents stipulate that land added must have maintenance fees applied and you can not do this with this land.
The ACIA board agreed to do this and then without doing what they agreed to came into a subsequent meeting and voted to take on this land. This is one of numerous examples of actions taken by the board
