Just got home from The Overlook fireworks show. What a fantastic setup they had. Food, drinks, a great band, etc. They had a little technical difficulty with the fireworks but when it happened it was great. Well worth the wait. Thanks Kevin, Sandy, and crew. The Overlook is a great addition to the Atascocita area and judging by the turnout, you better start planning next year's event. It was a hit. Happy 4th of July!

We went and thought it was great, too. The fireworks were worth the wait! Thank you so much!

Excellent show this evening. Free food, entertainment and fireworks. Thanks to all the staff and volunteers who put this together for our community.

Great community 4th of July event at the Overlook last night. Our community and other surrounding communities enjoyed water slides for kids, a band called Mambo Jazz Kings, and food of plenty. With help from community volunteers Kevin put out a feast of hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage on a stick along with nachos to feed approximately 2100 individual meals. The fireworks show had some issues but was worth the wait. Don’t know how much money was raised. With the weather and all combined it was a great event that brought communities together for one great night. Thanks to the Overlook and Mr. and Mrs. Kilgore. Hope to see all next year.

Great advertisement for the Overlook. Again shows how short sided the ACIA board was to try and get the homeowners to purchase it. Can you imagine the chaos.

@tb505:
I promised myself I would never post about the ACIA on this blog, and I will not spar or answer anyone about the ACIA on this blog but thank you for reminding that a good thing can always be twisted towards another point not intended for this topic.
I would like to thank all the Volunteers of the ACIA and other communities involved in the Morning Event held by the ACIA …. The annual ACIA 4th of July parade. All started at the Pinehurst library and continued down Pinehurst trail and ended at the Overlook parking lot. The ACIA volunteers served over 200 hotdogs to the Parade participants along with snow cones. Check the ACIA web site for later updates. And thanks to the Overlook we had a venue to do so. This advertisement is for the ACIA community. PS. No chaos just a great time by all

I was talking about the board wanting to purchase the club in previous years. The parade is a ACIA event enjoyed by many of it's members.
