we sat down with Derek Salazar, owner and founder of FullScope Pest
Control, proudly serving the community for 7 years.
Tell us a bit about your business. What services do you offer, and how long have you been in business?
FullScope
Pest Control has been serving residential and commercial clients for 7
years, built on over 30 years of experience in the pest control
industry. We offer professional, competitively priced services for pest
prevention and control, lawn and ornamental care, misting systems and
wildlife/rodent exclusion.
Our comprehensive
pest solutions target common and challenging pests including ants,
roaches, spiders, fleas, bed bugs, mosquitoes, termites, rodents, bats,
birds, and more. We also specialize in WDI inspections, making us
a one-stop shop for real estate professionals and homeowners alike.
On
the lawn care side, we provide lawn fertilization, insect, disease,
shrub treatments, and weed control—keeping properties beautiful and
pest-free.
How did you get started in this industry?
My
journey began in 1989 with a large independent pest control company
where I spent nearly three decades learning, leading, and sharing my
knowledge across the southern region. In 2018, I took the leap and
started FullScope Pest Control with the vision of delivering higher
quality, more personalized pest solutions.
I'm a licensed and
certified applicator in multiple areas: pest, termite, lawn, ornamental,
and weed control. That breadth of expertise allows us to craft
targeted, effective programs for each client.

Without

I’ve
lived in Kingwood for over 24 years with my wife, Annatte—my childhood
friend—and we’ve raised our seven children here. I'm deeply involved in
the community through St. Martha’s Catholic Church, local sports
coaching, HOA boards, safety councils, and neighborhood programs like
National Night Out.
